    I am looking to have five trades for the run home.

    Three is risky, yes... but this game is about taking the right risks.

    If you've got three trades left and a decent 18th man you can survive without using those trades if someone is suspended for a week or two.

    I'm hoping to have 5 trades and 18 players maximum. I am taking a big risk but I think that I might have enough trades spare to pull it off.

    Currently 9 trades.

    Hoping to have 13 play in round 18 and 17 in round 19 depending on trades between now and then.

    Let's be honest though, especially for those who are tradeaholics - from round 20 inclusive there are seven rounds to be played.

    Do you honestly think you'll hold off on trading for three or four weeks without clicking one or two of them during a weak moment? :pp:

    At least if you have JDB and keep him and a Frizell/Jackson gets injured and they bring in JBD, he doesn't play round 18 anyway.
    I also don't think they'd bring Vaughan in and they'd stick to their current wider squad.

    It's the backs, hooker and second row that are the concern. I'm not worried about Merrin playing game 3 and JDB/Vaughan - wouldn't matter even if they did get called up.

    My origin possibles:

    Vaughan - doesn't play 18 anyway, irrelevant.
    Merrin - can't see him coming in from outside the squad.
    Cleary - think he's well down the list in NSW halves this year.
    Leilua - don't think he'll get close to the squad.

    Merrin still won't play Origin 3 unless there's a few injuries to the current pack over the next few weeks, which is pretty unlikely.

    He's been spamming me with pics of Maroon supporters and QLD players... Including CP13

    I still can't decide who to sell to get Edwards - Slater or C. Walker. Atm I'm on Slater because he misses rounds 18 & 19 & C. Walker misses round 16 but plays rounds 18 & 19. But when you look at games Slater is into everything & is in top form whereas C. Walker looks lost & out of form. He did score 51 against the Titans but most of those points were from 1 play when he scored that try & that Titans team was severely under strength. I thought though that after C. Walker scored that try he seemed to get more confident & actually put in more effort. So who goes:
    (a) Slater or
    (b) C. Walker

    I have a similar dilemna. The time to make a decision on Gutho is now because trading to someone like Cleary or Mansour will give an extra two weeks of scores, Teddy plays one more than Gutho from here too. I also have Walker I was considering axing for poor form, but it's crazy to replace my entire backline (Slater, Walker, Gutho) when my trades are so low. I think Slater and Walker become Teddy and Cleary (Via Munster DPP) and I have to take the risk that Gutho pumps out gun scores. But I couldn't fault you for trading him for the above reasons.

    Yep, which is what CP13 gave us. McGuire has none of that at all and was the thing that killed us in game 1. McGuire is fucking useless IMO.

    Although McGuire is a great player who will & always does give 100% he still plays like a prop who is a lock. The one thing he lacks is an offload game even though he's capable of doing so. If I was the Q'land selectors I would start McGuire at prop & run Gillett at lock.

    oh yeah, i was agreeing with you, re cp13.

    I like Mcguire but he's not a "lock". I think next year he'll be back in the front row for the Broncos.
