    Hmm. I've traded CWalker out for Johnson, and Brailey out for BSmith. Seem logical? Or should I bring in either Cleary or Edwards?

    Taumalolo, Gallen, Whitehead, Capewell, JDB, Crichton
    Johnson, Laybutt, Norman, Field

    Johnson, Pearce,
    Cotric, Nuff
    RTS, Munster, Edwards

    Considering running with 1 centre and 2 extra forwards as 17th an 18th man for an AE.

    Potential upside of more consistent scoring from the AE gun forward than TTurbo/JRoberts/Gagai etc..

    Downside - a Cotric Injury/Suspension would leave me needing to made a trade
    If any of my Nuffs turn into non Nuffs (Hawkins/Scott/Laybutt etc) I'd likely get their score as an AE rather than the gun forward...

    If Johnson/Pearce go down that would cost you a trade too.

    If one of your WFB goes down? That will cost you a trade.
    If Smith or McInnes go down, you would definitely be trading. You don't want to miss 60 points a week there.

    My point is that it's not just Cotric you have to worry about for trading on a weekly basis - how many trades would you have left with this team?

    Smith JDB and Ted a real kick in the nuts but Scott and Laybutt helps and I still think Tualau will play which only gives me 14. I could suck it up but I would rather get two more bodies in but with trades running out I really don't want to be trading out keepers. So I'm thinking:

    Musgrove -> JGraham
    Abbey -> Dedwards

    Then round 19 cash out Elliott and get Fifita back for JBrom (or Brown, whoever is worse/injured) would be pretty much my final team. It's more depth than I was going to go with especially in the backs but still a solid 17? Or should I try and strengthen the 17?

    My team for the round:
    McInnes
    Graham, Kaufusi
    Gallen, Taumalolo, Elliot, Smat
    Munster, Cleary, Laybutt
    Cotric, Lafai, Hayne, Kelly
    RTS, Lolohea, Edwards

    should go ok with many guns not playing and fantasy coaches relying on a few low scoring reserves in their team

    I like your trades
    You do need a bit more love in the FRF... and Graham is pretty cheap atm
    You do not really need Edwards to strengthen your WFB, but it's tempting seeing he'll make a fair bit of cash

    I like the trades. I think Graham is a good trade, should be a keeper from here on end. Edwards a keeper too but risky with only 8 trades I'd say. As Chewie said, you don't really need an extra down there, but Edwards I think is almost a must have, and Abbey not coming back.

    Not bad at all mate, kind of similar to what I'm running this week too.  Not expecting big things but fielding 17 is enough that I shouldn't drop at least.  My team;

    I had a similar decision and have decided to strengthen my final 17. 8 trades as well and a bit of depth with bye planning. If I keep trading with the next few byes too much in mind then I'll have a plodding 20 instead of a string 17 in the home stretch.

    I do like those trades though. You need to decide if you can tie up all the loose ends and get your cash out of your depth and into your final 17 with 6 trades. You'd go close I reckon.

    After trades this week I've got:

    McInnes, (Friend)
    Taupau, McGuire, (Graham), Gurgess
    Gallen, Taumalolo, Mannering, (Merrin), Crichton, Fuimaono
    Munster, Walker, Moses, Brown
    SMat, Leilua, (Scott), Suli*
    RTS, Edwards, Cotric, Semi, Abbey

    *Suli AE for Walker

    7 Trades and 100k in the bank.

    Problem is looking forward, I've got a bunch of mid-range backs and not enough trades to upgrade them. Who stays and who goes?

    VC on Lolo. Play safe VC on Gallen or more risk vs reward Kapow. I think Kapow could score well against Sharks away

    Yeah mate, I'm hoping just fielding 17 will help me climb back up a bit. Gonna go Tolo for C, got Laybutt also so can't loophole.

    Thoughts on what to do here? I am lost and it's doing my head in. I have 17 players this week (Hampton is 1 of them so essentially 16).

    Smith McInnes
    Vaughan, Graham, Brown, Bromwich
    Lolo, Gallen, Burgess, Crichton, McGuire, Elliot
    Johnson, Munster, Elgey, Hampton
    Luilua, Fuimaono, Hayne, Suli
    Walker, RTS, Edwards, Radradra, Cotric

    Why do you have to do something other than get rid of Elgey. Why is that spud still in your team?
