Also, WTF to do with Friend? Just keep for the season, upgrade Brailey - Smith later on?
Seems like the logical option I think.

Is DCE that far out of QLD considerations now? I'd have DCE as my bench utility before munster, he's a big lad that can play second row if you want him to.

Was thinking of Guth to Rapana all week. If Suli had lost 10k less may have made that trade. BE of 20 and 4 home games coming up. Can't get him and Edwards though really

With all the carnage I'm just sticking with Brailey and hope he doesn't drop too much then upgrade to Smith in round 20. Friend if I had wouldn't be a conern at this stage.
In regards to Slater to Rapa, the only disadvantage is the extra coin, other than that, looks like a great trade.
I fuckin' have Munster and Slater but really don't want to punt either.

Well, to be fair i just have an excess of reserves. If I put the R on Yates, my AE is Scott.
If I don't trade in taupau, I have exactly 17, and can loophole.. which is actually quite tempting and could offset the difference in points that Taupau would score anyway.

Me being able to field 17 is making me hold off on a second trade. My first was Suli to Edwards which I'm set on, but was looking to punt Slater to maybe Cleary, but since I do have 17, 18 including Laybutt, I think the trade can hold and maybe I won't lose too many places if a lot of the higher teams are having trouble fielding players. Have 11 trades so could punt Slater but I really don't want to. I wish Laybutt wasn't playing and I definitely wouldn't trade so I could loophole but it's not looking good.

Agree. For me i guess its all dependent on whether Scott can jag a 35 - 40 pt score. He scored well last game but he had two tries.. if he returns a 15 this week its a bit of a downer. And if Taupau goes big, well that hurts.

Think I will reverse trade on JDB to Taupau. So many casualties I feel like holding the trade might be worthwhile.. hmmm. plan is to get him before round 18 though.. if by then, why not now? argue with me people
I considered reversing the trade re JDB to Taupau for the reaso you said but then I thought to hell with I'm going to be aggressive. I'll be kicking myself if I don't do the trade & Taupau gets a big score. I looked at round 13 & Taupau played 62 minutes so I think he'll get good minutes this round. Also round 17 Manly host the Warriors so that looks a good game for Taupau to score well in.

i'm going to slow down with my trades and hold back on some luxury upgrades. We still have another 10 rounds left to play and I'd imagine there's going to be another blood bath after the game 3 decider.

Yeah, just gotta hope it's one of those weeks for the shitty bench guys to jag some tries and have one of their more decent weeks. Need Brailey to tackle his ass off, Yates to get extra minutes, Kelly to get 2 tries, lamb to get his customary 40 points, SMat to not get moved to cente or knocked out and Lolohea to get another 35-40. Not much to ask hey haha.

Yep, and game 3 is going to be massive!! I expect everything to be turned up again and hits to be harder and more injuries and of course players getting rested. I think fielding any sort of 17 this week is somewhat of a win.

Re: 2017 NRL.COM Fantasy Thread 53
Thoughts on this as a final team :
Smith, McInness (R)
Vaughan, Fifita, Taupau, Graham AE
JBD, Crichton, Taumololo, Gallen (R), Merrin (R), Surgess (R)
Johnson, Pearce,
Cotric, Nuff
RTS, Munster, Edwards
Considering running with 1 centre and 2 extra forwards as 17th an 18th man for an AE.
Potential upside of more consistent scoring from the AE gun forward than TTurbo/JRoberts/Gagai etc..
Downside - a Cotric Injury/Suspension would leave me needing to made a trade
If any of my Nuffs turn into non Nuffs (Hawkins/Scott/Laybutt etc) I'd likely get their score as an AE rather than the gun forward...

seems as though thats a no. Laybutt playing half this week but longer term Green suggested TMM could take the spot.

He seems to have pissed off some big wigs in QLD after backflipping on the Titans deal. Since then he's been iced out of any consideration for an Origin selection. If he doesn't get selected for game 3 as the half with JT and Milf out then he never will

Probably not Laybutt since he'll be the #1 target of the big panthers pack + morgo back means even less kick meters for him
