For me personally, if it wasn't for his byes I'd get Mannering over Kapow. I got Kapow last week, for a shite return might I add, but he does play this round where Mannering doesn't.

    So if it's a R19 trade, I'd get Mannering.

Yeah mate, I really would want Mannering over Taupau but then I would be screwed for 19 especially if Fifita doesn't backup. Its probably worth taking the hit aand get Mannering though.

I am in the exact same boat but making the trade this week. I feel like I have to go with Taupau because he also plays this week and has DPP status. However I like looking at Mannering so much more.

I'm going to ignore the popular Crichtonne and Surgess and VC Friend this week.

I've successfully looped Crichtonne and Munster in previous bye rounds, so let's hope for 3 in a row.

    Nathan Brown backup captain

There was mention of Vaughan being 50/50 to shape up against the Raiders after the bye. However I think planning around Round 21 is your best bet at this stage.

Not going to say I was planning your exact strategy but maybe I need to look for another (VC) PoD choice now. Maybe A. Reynolds...

    @Honeysett

You need to work out a way you can claim your reasonably priced, pretentious craft beer for Origin night mate considering I lost our bet.

Decent squad this week, plenty of cash to bring Fifita back next week and flying high with a few extra trades left. Option I'm struggling with is trading JBrom to anyone 480k or less next week leaving myself with 4 trades or cashing out Scott, trading JBrom to Mannering/Taupau/JTurbo then running with 3 for the run home. Thoughts lads?

Check the origin thread. I think blokes like OSM hit the nail on the head in regards to DCE.

If your final 17 is together, then 3 trades could be enough. And Mannering/etc is a better upgrade to your team
Woods, Papalii, Cordner, Buhrer would be your best cheaper options

I only have 4 trades left, but I'll probably be spending 2 of them next week on Curtis Scott or Fuimaono out, and JBrom to Fifita.

Last 2 trades will be used to bring Cam Smith back in, and then ride my luck for the run home. Will have a squad of 19 reasonable scorers (20 if Lewis Brown manages to produce)

Ive got Abbey and MWZ in my NPR. Im thinking of cashing out MWZ to a 138k HLF/WFB to cover my bases. I currently have Munster and CWalker in my halves. Very low on trades (6) so do you think this is wise?

Papalii, Merrin, Buhrer are in that 480k range & Papalii could go alright but I'd much rather have the likes of Mannering/Taupau/J-Trbo but that involves selling Scott. You would be spewing if you traded out Scott & Bellamy decided to keep Scott in his starting side in round 20. Maybe leave it to round 20 to ensure Scott is out of the side but that would leave you with 1 less scorer for round 19.

Beware the POD VC I took it off Crichton for ARey last time and missed his 125

I think I prefer the safe VC with POD (C)

I did the exact same move.
Second worst decision I've made this fantasy season.

Please god no. I think i speak for all Raiders fans when i say watching Vaughan score a triple against the powder puffs we run out in the middle will be too much, even with the fantasy points I'd see from it.

Aiiiiiiiiiight. Well given its a final, shall we say a 2 week avatar bet on the result. Spice it up with some extra flavour. For every try Papa/Friz scores its an additional 2 weeks and TA's its 1 week (only if they are in the winning team).

Just quitely I think that's pretty heavily in your favour if I'm honest. Blues have gotta be favourites and Papa is playing like a Raiders player this series whereas Friz stands a real chance to make something happen every time he gets it

Yeah mate that DPP is kind of essential, but I would get him for Yates as I need that cover in the front row as i have a feeling Fifi might get rested.

Want Mannering so much more though.
