Is it silly to trade in Walker now say for Lolohea or RTS? Getting some form and a juicy price.

Re: 2017 NRL.COM Fantasy Thread 55
Got a few Qs.
1. Is TTurbo a keeper for starting centre? I currently have Fuimaono and Aubbs w/Moga in the wings (looking to downgrade him to 138k).
2. Is it stupid to possibly run with a half as a reserve? I'm thinking of bringing in Cleary this week to partner Norman, then next week ditching Norms for Johnson. Munster already set in stone.
3. Wallace no longer a keeper? What's everyone's thoughts on a smokey like Woods instead?
Thanks ya'll.

If your final 17 is together, then 3 trades could be enough. And Mannering/etc is a better upgrade to your team
Woods, Papalii, Cordner, Buhrer would be your best cheaper options
I only have 4 trades left, but I'll probably be spending 2 of them next week on Curtis Scott or Fuimaono out, and JBrom to Fifita.
Last 2 trades will be used to bring Cam Smith back in, and then ride my luck for the run home. Will have a squad of 19 reasonable scorers (20 if Lewis Brown manages to produce)
Final squad will be set after that trade
Running Hayne as final centre with Radradra as 18 in case of injuries. Already grabbing Buhrer this week and Mannering would certainly round out the pack and be a decent POD

Papalii, Merrin, Buhrer are in that 480k range & Papalii could go alright but I'd much rather have the likes of Mannering/Taupau/J-Trbo but that involves selling Scott. You would be spewing if you traded out Scott & Bellamy decided to keep Scott in his starting side in round 20. Maybe leave it to round 20 to ensure Scott is out of the side but that would leave you with 1 less scorer for round 19.
Papalii could be a decent shout for the run home. Scott won't make my best 17 so would just be hanging around as depth in case of injury

Aiiiiiiiiiight. Well given its a final, shall we say a 2 week avatar bet on the result. Spice it up with some extra flavour. For every try Papa/Friz scores its an additional 2 weeks and TA's its 1 week (only if they are in the winning team).
Just quitely I think that's pretty heavily in your favour if I'm honest. Blues have gotta be favourites and Papa is playing like a Raiders player this series whereas Friz stands a real chance to make something happen every time he gets it
Its a trap!!!!
Isn't Friz in doubt?

Check out the name, I've got the "inside" word... Tyson's good to go. Just giving Welshy the chance to back his boy like I'd do mine. If he's not confident or thinks maybe Friz just isn't that good, fair enough he can say no.Finch wrote:

1. In your case he's not essential, depending on how many trades you have left. Aubo and Fuimaono if he keeps the starting spot should suffice for keeper level scores at CTR. If you've got the room to upgrade Moga to Turbo though, he looms as a great option but I wouldn't be upgrading either of those two.
2. No it isn't, however the only genuine 3rd half you should run with is Pearce. Scoring and averaging much as even some of the premier gun 2RF's. Munster, Johnson and Pearce is the only acceptable 3 HLF pairing in my personal opinion.
3. Depends, I dropped him because I don't view him as a keeper. He's like Elijah Taylor in that he's close to averaging keeper scores but has too many 40 point games to be a genuine option. He'll do for now though. Woodsy's a confusing one. He had a terrific game against the Knights yet he scored less than 50.
Good POD though, nobody is doing much better right now even Fifi. Taupau was in red hot form but then a 32 reminded everybody that he's no sure thing.

1. Yes
2. No so long as Johnson and Pearce are two of them.
3. Wallace is probably a sixth, depth type keeper. You'll need 4-5 of Gallen, surgess, Crichton, Fifi, Vaughan, taupau, mannering, JDB

Considering trading RTS out for him but is one week of extra points really worth a trade? I mean I'm down to single digits and I'm trying to discipline myself to treat them as absolute gold.

Why wouldn't you have Scott in your final 17 if he keeps his spot. Since he started 3 games ago he's probably been the highest scoring ctr by quite a margin.

It isn't but playing in a side that will rack up points and someone who has shown the ability to bust a large amount of tackles and be sound defensively is a good starting point

I don't think he will hold his spot. Price going to be ~50-60k higher than Hayne and even if he holds his spot I don't think he significantly outscores himWelshy wrote:

RTS to ARey seem like a good trade? And no it's not just to get an extra player this week

I agree with what Welshy just said. Scott may not keep up his try scoring but he has a great step & has the ability to push out of tackles. Plus he'll just keep on making money. I think you have to keep him in your squad just in case he stays at ctr for the Storm & if this happens I would play him every week.

Re: 2017 NRL.COM Fantasy Thread 55
Scott scored 60 in a game without any tries. He's bound to have a 20's game eventually but until then there's no reason to suggest he's not worth playing. If anything the main thing to worry about with him is the fact Blair will take his spot back when fit.
Coaches rarely react to hot streaks of form from boom rookies. Blair worked hard to earn his spot and is defensively sound so Bellamy is highly likely to prefer him to Scott.

I think Blair will absolutely come back in. Scott been good but it will keep him motivated and head in check to go back to q cup. His time will come

Re: 2017 NRL.COM Fantasy Thread 55
I think Blair would be extremely unlucky not to get his spot back.
Doesn't seem like a Bellamy move.
I will probably keep Scott in my 25 in case of an injury in the centres though. Have others to trade out for cash ahead of him like CNK and Marsters.
