In general I think Pearce has been a bit more consistent with his scoring and hasn't posted as many low scores as DCE. Having said all that, DCE is 70k cheaper and probably more appealing as a result.

Cleary's blistering form lately and his run of 5 home games in the last 7 is too good to resist, he should finish the season strongly.

Pearce and Cleary are my picks and will be the 2 halfbacks I finish up with.

I got the holy trinity last week- Friend, Merrin, SJ

Friend became MCinness, SJ > Munster. I've got one trade. Here's the team. What do I do with Merrin?

Taupau, Brown (Jensen, Papalli Jnr.)
Lolo, Crichton, Surgess, Buhrer, CHN, Merrin
Munster, Reynolds (Laybutt, Fogarty)
Aubbs, SMat, Scott, Fuimauno
Edwards, Turbo, Walker.

I'm thinking, Merrin > Gallen, or Fifita via Brown. If I get Fifita, I get DPP again. Gallen, no DPP.

Trendsetters, give me your opinion so I can ignore it

Fifita gives me $23k left over and Gallen......exactly nothing.

I'd go with Fifita, trying to decide if I want to bring him in or upgrade RTS.
Most likely whichever I do this week, I'll do the other next week.

Fifita/Gallen is a toss of the coin so no reason to go with the one that gives you that extra $ in case you need it in the later rounds.

No trades left Scott, Fui and Jensen are my dregs.

This season has sent me back to rookie tier. Naively thought I'd take 4 trades into the run home and lost Merrin, Johnson and Friend in the first week. 1 trade to float the season, now my realistic goal is top 1000 :/

dunno what to do with Merrin, i have 1 lonely little trade left, he was going to be my 18th man anyway, so i could hold just in case a bigger injury comes along, but i could move across to Vaughan via Brown's DPP before he goes back up in price.

i'd probably hold if he wasnt going to be in your 17 anyway.

Yeah, as tv said, if he isn't in your 17, just hold and wait until someone else goes down, then make the decision who to trade then. If you have your top 17, hold out.

I would hold your last trade in case one of your 17 get's injured. Still 7 rounds to go, so it's hard to imagine no injuries.

I know I"m a broken record here but with 2/3 trades left, I'd hold anyone who isn't injured.
You've got very little depth and would be trading yourself into a hole.

Would be a big risk to assume none of your team get injured (or two or fewer) over the next seven rounds.
You've only got back-up in your centres assuming Scott is named to start from here on in.
You can probably take a hit in anywhere but your halves as long as all of your expected 18 play otherwise you are short a player with anyone out.

Is it worth an extra 20 points a week at the risk of losing 40-50pts per week you've got someone out?

Half way through the buys I thought I was doing quite well, had burned through a few trades to get close to my final team but that was always the plan, so wasn't concerned.

Then Graham, Vaughan, Friend, SJ all go down. Farked me good and proper.

MY final 17 will look like this *sobs*

Mcinnes (clark)
Taupau, Jbrom, Graham, Gurgess
Crichton, Gallen, Taolo, Jturbo, JDB, Fai
Pearce, Munster, May (lucky AE last week) Field
TTurbo, Croker, Fui, Olam
Edwards, Mansour, Nofo, Rts, Phythian.

And how am I so confident that will be my final team? I have no trades left. the upside is you don't have to read my rubbish trade ideas over the nxt 6 rounds
