    I don't think so either. SJ won't be playing again this year, and if you have him, he's in your best 17. If you won't spend a trade replacing him, who will you spend a trade replacing?

    If you only have 1 playing hooker, then perhaps you might save your last trade to protect that position rather than on SJ. But otherwise you will almost certainly get better points return replacing SJ now rather than waiting a few weeks to save the trade for another injury that may or may not happen.

    Sorry Milchy, seems I've been misinterpreted by not being clear enough. See my response below your post as to what I meant...

    The price difference is the main point. Is it worth spending 100k more when they could both average the same in the run home??

    I'm probably just penny pinching but need some advice.

    I'm probably just penny pinching but need some advice.

    Is the 100k vital for any other moves that you plan on making? Are you close to having your final 17-18 players for the run home? Do you have any other cash cows left generating money or waiting to be cashed out?

    For mine, you are comparing a player that is averaging 63+/- this year to a player just shy of 5 points less. I know earlier in the year Macca was scoring 64 but that was then and this is now. The first 4 games of the season were against last years top four and with no utility to be seen on the bench due to Nikos injury. Mac's past three game av has him sitting at 53. TBH that's about what I would expect him to average for the run home. 55ish. He very may well have a game or two higher or lower but it comes out in the wash.

    Smith, on the other hand, will continually hit 58+ I'd say, gives you a great captaincy option and has potential to go large with his ceiling.

    I'd say it's a no brainer (I personally bought him back in this week over all other comers) but it may depend on the rest of your team and how much of an impact that 100k difference will have.

    Cheers pal. Basically means I will bring in Teddy an Jtrbo instead of Munster and Mannering for the run home. I guess there's not alot separating those options

    Not enough for me to sway my opinion. Munster and Teddy are averaging within 0.1 of each other and that's after Teddy having an average run through the middle of the year so I feel he'll come home with a head full of steam. The juicy scenario is the Mannering to and JTurbo one. Mannering is averaging about 4 points more than Turbo currently however the Sea Eagles are a better side so far this season. They have a similar run home with tough and easy games split fairly evenly. The thing that could be a game changer and a boost for Mannering here is the SJ injury. Manners may end up doing more work and therefor bumping up that average.

    I'd be comfortable running home with that crew.

    I was just checking out the team lists for the Intrust Super Cup, looks like some encouraging news.  YT has been named to start for the Easts Tigers but Curtis Scott not named for the Falcons.

    Scott might still be sick and Bellamy has named YT as a precautionary measure, who knows but by the looks of it I'm expecting to see Scott named in the final teamlists.

    I'm in the exact same boat. friend going down was a pain the arse too.

    I've decided to give smith a miss as painful it is and run home with the 'mcdouble'. The 100k saved allows to get them and the combined avg would (hopefully!!) be better than smith andsay king or any other combination... thats how im justifying it to myself at least

    It's probably a different situation when you have a below par second hooker @Stinkbug... Although, that being said, I bought Smith in today and currently have Roache in the second spot. Fortunately, I have 8 trades remaining and at least three cows to cash out yet at over 350k avg a piece so I'm pretty happy with that and the fact that I should still be able to pick McInnes up next week or the week after.

    There's only two to three other trades I want to do to get my final 17 following that. So not too bad. Keep in mind, my rank is shite in comparison to most of you guys I'm sure. Barry of a year for me and just trying to make the best of it for the remainder of the season. Onwards and upwards next year.

    What do I do this week?
    6 trades left.
    I had Wallace -> Fifita
    and SJ -> Munster

    If I make those trades I will have $62k I could drop someone like MWZ and upgrade Fui to TTurbo.

    Would leave me with 2 trades left for injuries - thoughts on this?

    No DPP's to trade SJ to say Tommy?

    If not, there really is no point keeping SJ. Trade to Munster then upgrade Fui to someone like Turbo. Fifi will drop a bit more next week, and even though he's in my team, this whole SOO thing worries me with his form, I can see him slowly slipping back into old habits with his penalties etc. Still would be a must have but if you can get him for under 500K, it's a steal.
