Watson may be a bit of a dark horse at fullback for the chooks, he looks good. Maybe leave the trade for this week to see how he goes. If he bombs out you can bring Pearce in next week.

This strategy also allows you to see how Pearce performs without Friend.

I agree, give Watson a go as he has consistently overachieved in the past. Keep that last trade for dark days ahead.

Thanka fellas. Yeah it seemingly has worked out to the mex in my favour with Watson, initially brought in instead of a cash cow because he waa useable during the byes and covering various Roosters with injury/origin. Ideally he would now play out the year, although maybe not in this instance.
Other thing is that with SJ's high value on the pine and 1 trade only, i pretty much cannot bring in any other player via SJ anyway. No dpp i mean. With 1 trade and 109k i can cover any 1 single injury/suspension easily though.

    Cheers lads

I haven't read the last few pages so this may have already been mentioned. Steve Kearney was on the radio earlier this week saying that SJ's 6-8 weeks is conservative and they'll know more in 2 or 3 weeks. My reading between the lines there is that he's a chance for comeback in 3 or 4 weeks if he heals fast. Possible some good news for those who are forced to hold or who are contemplating whether or not to burn their last trade on him...

I swear we've heard the "Burgess is out" rumour the last three weeks prior to bunnies games. :/

Warriors season will be gone in 2-3 weeks so surely they wouldn't bring him back early and risk him when nothing is on the line.

Damn Angus Crichton is a machine. Someone on reddit compiled the avg stats he's put up since becoming an 80 minute player.

    "tackles: 35.25
    metrs gained 154.5
    tackle breaks: 6.3
    and 7 trys"

Hopefully he manages to play out the year. You'd have to think he'll miss some game time with a fractured foot though.

As much as I hate it, I think I need to pass on Cam Smith :[. With only three trades left and Friend, SJ and Merrin in my team, I think I need to keep Friend and hope he's back in 2-3 weeks.

    Merrin -> Mannering
    SJ -> Teddy via Munster

    Gives me
    McInnes (Friend)
    Fifita Taupau Brown (Jenson)
Gallen Tlolo Surgess Crichton JDB Mannering
    Munster Cleary (Nu.Brown Fogarty)
    Hayne Scott (Fuimaono L.Brown)
    Walker Tedesco Edwards (RTS MWZ)
    $162K 1Trade

Obviously quite a selection headache when Friend is back, but selling him for Smith means I have to hold Merrin for the rest of the year with only one injury cover trade. And Crichton's injury scares me.

There's every chance he comes back and plays 50 minutes just to stay warm for the World Cup though.

This Burgess rumour may have some legs. I'm hearing he has a similar neck injury to Graham. Only rumours still, but from historically reliable sources. Reynolds and Crichton are good to go.

I would assume it's a metatarsal stress fracture - I had one years ago and while I had to stop playing futsal for a while (impact on the bone when tackling was too painful for a weekend warrior like me to bother trying to play through), I kept playing basketball. I know plenty of runners manage foot stress fractures just by cutting back on their mileage (say dropping from 15k to 5k per day) and it heals without needing complete immobilisation.

If Surgess is out, that could mean 80 minutes for Fui just like round 15.

Good thing they at least play Friday.

Season was over when we got run down 28-0 over the Panthers.

Some would even say the Season was over before a ball was kicked Sad

Warriors season is gone already mate - forget the mathematic chance crap they are still spurting over here!! It was gone Round 17 when they blew the Sea Eagles game.

I don't think they will risk him, but if he is good to go then he'll play IMO. The implication from what Kearney said is that he could well be back earlier than the 6-8 week time frame.

Just got suggested an idea for a possible POD to end all POD's in Kieran Foran. He'll be doing a majority of the playmaking and kicking now with Johnson out.

I'd take that risk if A. I had more than a trio of trades and B. I always where possible like getting players I like into my team and Pearce is one of them. Always puts in at club level

he was deadset MIA last week. don't know if he's carrying injury or mind is just not there, but that would be a massive risk to take.

Niko fullback is an interesting one, not that it affects fantasy, just a surprise switch to be honest. i was pretty pissed watching hte game so cant really comment on isaakos effort.

comes just after niko re-signed for 3 years, coincidence?
