Well in that case probably not, This single round showed why you need spare trades.

Surgess to JTurbo on theirs days is definitely sideways but based on form, I dont know. If Surgess is fit and with 1 trade i would probably hold.

Was liking Nofo but is Watson worth a shout if the funds could be used elsewhere?

Since he's now signed for the Knights will this affect his game time. Some coaches would banish him to reserve grade like Bennett did to Hodges when he signed for the Roosters but I suspect Robinson isn't such a asshole.

Got 2 trades left with Surgess, Smith and Guth. Obviously the first 2 will be held given they'll miss a week or two at most.
Guth well I'm just wondering if he's worth trading considering I have a back-up WFB. I have Rossdog as my 18th man who I anticipated slotting in for any injuries and on an average day out he's good for about 35+ so he's good for the purpose I had him in mind for.

However I can do a straight swap from Guth to Teddy who is obviously a gun. On the surface it seems like an obvious choice. However I just wonder if using one of those 2 remaining trades I have is worth it in an area I have depth in.

My HLF's back-ups read Nu Brown and Laybutt. My FRF back-ups are Leota and Sele. If I use this one trade and problems happen in both of those areas I am screwed. Any help with this dilemma would be appreciated.

I've got 2 trades left too and Im probably gonna use one this week to max my potential scoring over the next 6 rounds. I'll hold the last one for the next couple rounds in case I have an injury and then probably use that round 24 to max scoring again.

But my thinking is I'd rather take a risk in order to gain 100 spots even if it means the risk is losing 400 spots. For me its about getting the highest ranking I can. Im sure some people have reasons to play conservatively but I don't sink any cash into this game and I could care less if I blow out because I run out of trades as long as I've given it a fair crack at getting top 100!

    Good luck either way mate!

    Hey Lads,

I'm catching up on posts, but is the vibe to keep Cam and Surgess?

2 trades, WFB is evidently weak (TTrbo, Mansour, CWalker, MWZ, Tui), and I was going to use a trade to upgrade CWalker or Tui to Slater or Teddy.

Now not sure if I should hold on WFB and focus on this weekends coverage of Smith & Surgess.

Yes - unless you have heaps of trades left, or we get bad news during the week, it looks like they may only miss 0-2 weeks, so probably a hold on both of them.

Decent depth so yeah, should be happy. Not sure I'd use that last trade for another week or 2, but you are bolder than me.

My first real year of fantasy. I've learned a lot, started with a silly team and had to claw myself back. I'm in the top 4000 overall, had one round where I had a top 100 team... it's been good. Finishing up with the following

    Smith McInnes
    Brown Tolman Taupau Tagatese
Crichton Surgess Lolo JDB Gallen Chee-Kam
    Norman Munster Laybutt Field
    TTurbo Aubs Fuimaono PMat
    Slater RTS DEdwards Beale TRD

What are the chances of Watson and Dufty finishing this season at FB and averaging 50+??

Haha heard much about either of them.

Watson is dependent on how fast Flash returns from injury. He's locked in there in the meantime. He seems to have the whole 'fend away at someone when they stick a hand out' TB down to a tee.
Dufty hmmmm well if Dugan isn't back next round and he keeps performing then Dugan might go to the centres. That's a slim chance of happening though I'd say. Dufty's time will come but coaches will generally opt for their first choice man for a finals run.

Just trying to find some high impact cheapies to chuck in as backups. Will probably keep Smith and Burgess.

If Surgess is out this week which I suspect he will be, same injury as NBrown essentially and that tough cunt only had the week off

Will have RTS as 4th reserve

Hope that Teddy delivers more than what I lose by having to play King.
