I traded Taupau for Fifita. Not really impressed. Captain Manners scoring 48 is bloody disappointing too.

He wasn't an origin frontrower after after the first game because he was dropped. Lillyman doesn't step & bend the line, doesn't make line breaks or offload. He offers nothing except hit ups which are often ineffective. He's an old school prop playing in the modern era. Luke is good but he's not responsible for go forward which is what we lack but even he is average defensively & misses tackles. The only 1 of our backrow who would succeed at another club is Mannering. Thompson is inconsistent & injury prone. Hoffman is over the hill & currently injured. Vete, Lisone play 1 good game in 10. Matulino is over rated & from 2 years ago when he was 1 of the best props in the nrl he has declined quite dramatically over this period.
Since Cleary, how many coaches have come over to the Warriors & failed. There's been a few & some of them were highly rated coaches but not even they could succeed. There's a bit of a trend here & it points to the players & mostly towards our poor pack. But instead of improving our forwards with new players management decided to spend money on the backline. They pissed money against the wall with Foran because he's going next year. Backs don't win you games forwards do.

To state the obvious this game so far is lightyears ahead of the first game in intensity
and attacking play. Dare I say it the commentating has improved as well. Vossie can be over the top
but still on the money most times and Brandy keeps Vossie honest. Great game to watch so far apart
from that poonce, Edwards.

meanwhile over on nine, Takairangi running straight into Roberts was a 'well constructed play', and Brown and Edwards 'did nothing wrong'
