Any tips on the must have rookies/value buys?

In, I think Harry Kane is a must...guy scores goals for fun.

some of the man city defenders like Danillo and Mendy i think are well placed, wing backs not pure defenders so plenty of assists

I tend to go for base priced players as defenders and keepers from the smaller clubs, you find those teams may concede just as many goals as the top teams but score a lot less, they play defensive and attack on the counter.

You can then spend the rest of your money on the proven guns who score and assist regularly in the midfield and forwards.

Id reregister if u cant amend, and google epl fantasy top picks etc..

Im in the same boat as Clack. Watch a dozen arsenal games a year but have no interest past that. Havnt heard of most of these pricks.

Is there a better formation to play? Like is it a waste having any more then 3 defenders on the field at once?

Defenders arent worth investing in. Play the minimum. The top notch defenders can still get low points each week. If u can suss out some that like to charge up field etc it can help with assists etc. Or those who are known to be gud in the air for set pieces and corners.
Lesser teams like Stoke and Southampton are prone to having a couple of gud cheap defenders.
Ill be investing heavily in two strikers plus one cheap proveb guy and unload in the midfield in every position and scrape together backs, and a pot shot at a goalie. It aint like there are numerous goallies ur missing out on if u dont spend. The position doesnt play well in fantasy.

Kane will be top goalscorer mate But a word of warning he hasn't scored in first month of the last 2 seasons, in taking the punt if leaving him out and getting him in when few dump him

Your midfield looks really weak mate RLC won't score many, Iborra same and Snodgrass on the outer at West Ham! Salah quality shout and good strike force, kompany ain't a lock to start for city either

I'm going to have a look at lunch and see if I can't get something better to start from.

I'm in. Had my best season in FPL last year, getting in the top 10k for the first time. Still struggling to get my head around the price changes after years of sportal / virtualsports....
