i just don't even get the argument being made about should have checked it, if the correct ruling was made why does it matter he didn't check it

important to also note, that cechin had begun to call knock on before there was even a claim for a try

Some of the worst referring I’ve ever seen has happened in this tournament and the final is no different. Aussies getting all the calls here

Why on earth would you let Tom Burgess anywhere near the ball in the last 10 min of a game

It’s hilariously sad how unprepared some Australians are to support their rugby league team, I saw way too many Aaron Rodgers jerseys walking around Brisbane today for it to just be a coincidence

Fantastic game to be at, best quality international for a long time, On one hand, I think the calls for a neutral referee are probably fair, even though Sutton did try his hardest to deflect claims of bias by giving England every opportunity to send it to extra time in the last 10, but on the other hand, neutral in that game means a NZ ref, which would almost guarantee a Henry Perenara appearance... i’d question letting him ref a local junior league final, let alone a world cup final

Was such a brilliant game. Bennett fd up by having Tom Burgess on in the last 10 mins, the bloke just forgets he has hands when he steps on the field. 3 drops, 3 runs in a row haha. Amazing.

Far out was a brilliant game tho, loved it.

Great that Australia got up, they deserved it. Cudos to cronk, what an awesome rep career. Legend. I also suspect that slater is hanging them up for australia but wants to play another origin series so wont announce it until after origin next year.

Yeah, far out chamber's is hard to like. He goes out of his way to niggle turgess when he dropped it at the end, then drops it with his next touch. Tries to waste time towards the end by faking an injury then blows up when surgess gives him a bit.

Was easily the best world cup I have ever seen and I would like to see more and more elite players play for the minnow teams.

Also, the dragons should be having a good hard look at widdop playing fb next season, he has been awesome there for the most part.

I thought australia got the rub of the green with the refs too. It really wouldnt surprise me to see McGillvray pop up for the bronco's sometime soon.

great game, poms just need better halves and they will get win one day soon

god i loves james graham, gives everything he has and then when people try a make something of him calling smith a cunt, he drops some great quotes afterwards rather then just apologizing for it:

“Loads of stuff gets said on the field. If you don’t like it turn off the ref mics,” Graham said.

“That’s real life, real emotion out there. Stuff gets said all the time.

“Just because you pick it up ... you want to fake a reality?

“You want people to pat each other on the back? It is what it is. It’s just the game.

    “I don’t even remember what I said.

    “I shouldn’t have to either.

“Remember that, that’s real. I shouldn’t have to remember what I said and apologise to anyone. And I won’t.
