2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 1

Cam Smith with more kick metres without Cronk? One or two downfield kicks extra game could be worth 4-5 points.

I reckon the Titans are developing quite a nice looking squad for 2018. This is the team the will run out with & it looks very solid:
(1) to (7) = Gordon, Copley, B. Lee, Hurrell, B. Elliott. Elgey, Taylor.
There's a lot of strike power in that back line plus M. Johns has been hired to work with the halves. Apparently Don won't make round 1 due to injury.
( to (13) = Latu, Peats, Wallace, Proctor, James, Arrow
This is a solid pack that will work hard & provide good go forward.
The bench will be strong with good depth too with players like Rein, M. King, Boyle, Hipgrave, Sami, Stockwell, Lawton, Olive, L. Burr & Brimson all pushing for a bench spot.

As much as I cant stand Smith, I think this is the one year I won't consider leaving him out

Does B.Smith get a run in the 17? ...& if so does cam spend time at half?

Greenwood I'm pretty sure will be starting or at least on the bench at the start of the year. Simpkins is a favourite of Brennans from there time together at Windsor Wolves I reckon he gets a crack in the side.

But they've quietly built a quality side!

I just read the article on nrl.com & no he didn't disclose this matter as the Eels statement says they were unaware of these allegations until they were made public today.

Yeah honestly, I see this as an easy out for the Eels if they choose it. Which I would personally want.

Disagree - the criminal charge was thrown out. No case to answer, never got charged, no record. Why should he have to tell an employer ? The civil case only just got lodged. That may give them grounds to stand him down, but not on the back of non disclosure.

I think Chewie was just listing them as reference.  That's what I would have thought.  I think he knows the likes of Semi leaving, Bodene and others not having a contract, Myles and Idris retiring, the likes of Goodwin, Wardle etc. going overseas.
