If they set up a system where a hooker can sub into the centres, then yes, you could abuse it that way. You already can do exactly that, if you run with 8 guys who won't take the field in your 25 you can force an AE to be who you want. People used to create one-shot teams all the time to try and win the weekly back when they had decent weekly prizes. Its a bit too risky for a longer term overall strategy

It's pretty easy to implement fairly. But to remove ability for abuse they'll have to remove rolling lockout, otherwise you could abuse it a bit like the VC loophole. Check to see if your first sub scores well, and put a non-player in your first team if you want to get his score.

With this kind of INT/EMG bench DPP is going to be pretty helpful.
Cartwright with his 2RF/HLF DPP and a 325k pricetag comes to mind
Watson with his HLF/HOK DPP and a 401k pricetag isn't a bad option
Slade Griffin with his 2RF/HOK DPP at 382k if he gets the starting role over Levi

Anyone considering Holmes. All predicted teams have him as f/b plus he's favoured to be the goal kicker. The goal kicking alone will add an extra 6-10 points per game & his running game/pace would see a lot of running metres.

I'm not a big fan of Holmes as a fantasy scorer, I see more fantasy value in Ponga and GI around that price-tag

Given that the screen print uses last years prices it is not necessarily the final version.

But the numbers next to the player names is a good sign for ranked subs rather than AE system

yeh i know but NPR has always been the go-to term to refer to 18-25 even by Lone Scout and friends, you'd think theyd just go with that if they weren't planning to shake up the AE system

The system needed a bit of an overhaul, I'm a bit concerned about them stuffing it up when they launch it, but fingers crossed, let's hope it works and keeps the playing field level.

I am the same re Holmes but if he's goal kicking & with the the Sharks averaging 3 tries per game in 2017 then there's an extra potential 6 points. If he's at f/b he's going to score 40+ I reckon. I also think he'll be full of confidence from his performances at the world cup.

playing that strategy from the start is fraught with danger, further limiting yourself to 20 players means your missing out on some money making potential and if you get pull-outs after games start, you'll be scrambling and throwing away trades

I recall the same thing. Was talked up massively and didn't really deliver fantasy wise. I'm not sure goal kicking duties would make me reconsider.

I've been looking at the Front Rowers a bit, I was going to pick Matt Scott, but looking at his 2016 scores I think he's gone past his due by date as a Fantasy scorer. Probably going to end up starting with James Graham, Kasiano and Lodge

Atm I'm on RCG, McLean & Lodge. A lot will depend on whether a hooker/utility is on the bench for the Panthers, Cowboys & Broncos. I'm going cheaper in the front row so I can get 2 high priced 2fr's. However I might sacrifice a 2nd high priced 2fr so I can get someone like Pearce in the halves.

I always use to wonder how SJ was getting 50+ scores when he was doing nothing but now I know it was because he was scoring 41 points just through kick metres.

Yeah RCG and McLean are definitely on the radar.
With the new bench format I think we might end up having 4 Front Rowers in the 17...unless one of the Interchange positions can be used for a Back Rower...

...I guess there's always room for the black widow on the bench

20 points, add in a couple goals, 10-15 tackles and he's 40pts in 'base' stats

km are divided by 20, rm are divided by 10

He won't rack up those metres this year with Green though
