Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 1
In London, Welshy. Obvs Aubs at 2rf is pretty much the best scoring centre in the game and is undervalued and set and forget. But you can never forget Aubbs. Manu and Latrell should be starting centres but if they fuck up does Aubs go there, or Matterson? They have Reece Robinson now so that's extra backline depth... but anyway does Butcher or Matterson jag a start at 2rf at some point? How many times does Aubs move to centre after 20 minutes because of injury or HIA? Does Crichton join early? Aubs has so many ways to screw you.

where are you based atm Rhinoceroo lad?
Any inside knowledge on the Moylan punt? averaged under his 34 total last year after 8 games in the halves (avg 30) compared to his avg of 37 playing fullback?
I think Coote is undervalued with JT back
edit. sorry just seen the dpp statement regarding those players listed
As a half Moylan doesnt get the base km points and from memory missed quite a few tackles

Have moved from Wellington (die hard Warriors fan) to London and am thinking you guys could help fill my NRL Fantasy banter void from back home. Looking forward to getting involved and chatting with you all as well as holding down the Deadzone with those in the Northern Hemisphere (hence the Goodnight Kiwi). Thanks Milchcow for all your work + data, absolute legend!
Lock ins for me at the moment are: Smith, JBrom, Cartwright, Milne, Tedesco.
Bring on the endless changes, the bolters at the 9s, the big boys training the house down and the endless bugs in the app on opening day!
Welcome to the forum!
@Welshy can do with the company in the Deadzone

Helps me with some extra fantasy conversation and not filling posts with suggestions on player selections and not following through with them myself

Will you be rating teams this year? (I guess it's still a bit too early for it atm)

Yes mate I most certainly will, however I had a shocker last year so not sure they carry as much weight as previous years haha

To those like me, with too few hobbies and too much free time that you are already finalizing your full roster- Who are the players you are desperately trying to squeeze in, but think they are just going to miss the final cut?
Here is one of mine for each position
McCullough- poor bastard should be playing for QLD and Australia if he wasn't playing in the same era as Smitty. Likewise for my fantasy team.
JBrom- still in my bad books after I trusted him for too long last season (I play with my heart as well as my head)
TPJ- think he is an undervalued POD but its between him and Lodge and I always back a starter. Probably still the most likely in this list to sneak into my 17 though
Moses- too many superstars spoil the broth. Think Parra is overcrowded for playmakers atm.
Latrell- love his 70s but can't stomach the 7's. I know it all balances out, but i prefer to know where i'm getting on the rollercoaster before I ride
Dufty- would have him in if Inglis wasn't in the same price bracket, but I don't have any other beloved bunnies in my team to cheer for (also playing with my heart a bit here)

My Lock-ins are
Smith, JGraham, Crichton, JT, Hayne, Teddy, Ponga, GI, Milne and Cartwright
Mostly running with the Guns and Cows strategy this year due to the smaller squad.
I would have gone with NBrown over Crichton if he retained his DPP status

Didn't see Milne's price til now. Don't think anyone is going to be passing him up.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 1
I like the look of Eisenhuth & he will be in my frf. With his base stats plus a few extras he should score around 47-50 odd. Early season it takes the big men a while to get match fit so my pack will consist of mobile forwards who play 60+ minutes.

Do people think Milne has a guaranteed spot in the Tigers backline?
For Tigers positions 2-5.
Nofoaluma has 1 position guaranteed.
I don't really like relying on the argument of "they didn't pay a guy $x to play reserve grade" But Moses Suli is getting paid a lot of money and I think he'll have a spot.
Then you have Naiqama, Fonua, Marsters all competing with Milne for the last 2 spots, and I'm not sure Milne is a walk up start.
Corey Thompson a possibility too but I figure he'll likely be in reserve grade.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 1
For what its worth I think the Tigers will look something like this for round 1.
But the backline could be anything (luckily for us we don't get locked into player choices just yet)
1. Lolohea
2. Nofoaluma
3. Milne
4. Suli
5. Fonua
6. Reynolds
7. Brooks
8. Packer
9. McIlwrick
10. Matulino
11. Taylor
12. McQueen
13. Eisenhuth
14. Liddle/Benji
15. Twal
16 +17. Aloaia/Sue/Lawrence/Marsters
