added mate, I just noticed the first few were all 2RF so going to branch out a bit and select a few different positions from the list

    2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 1 - Page 37 Connor10

    Player: Connor Watson
    Club: Newcastle Knights
    Previous Club: Sydney Roosters
    Position: HLF/HK
    Cost: $404,000
    2016 average: 27
    2017 average: 27
    2017 minutes average: 42
    Handsomeness rating: 3/5 Mitch Aubbussons

Watson played an ever changing role with the Roosters last year, playing small minutes off the interchange mainly (13 games) sometimes spelling Jake Friend, sometimes coming into the backline to inject something different, he played 6 full matches, 4 at fullback where he really shone and 2 in the halves in place of Pearce who funnily enough followed him to Newcastle. Whilst his role has not yet been seen Watson figures to get first crack at the 6 shirt for the Knights alongside Pearce, where if he remains he should be able to crank out a decent average, his real value could come if star recruit Kayln Ponga is shifted into the centres, and Watson nabs the 1 shirt and Lamb/Cogger get the wheel in the 6 alongside Pearce.

Adjusted points average when playing over 40 minutes: 44 (9 games)
Average starting half: 27.5 (2 games)
Average starting fullback: 49.5 (4 games)
High score: R14 interchange hooker (77 minutes) 74
    Low Score when playing 80 minutes: R12 (5/8th) 19

    Wrap up
A pre season move to the ever evolving Knights looked set to turn Watson into a decent fantasy option but the addition of Pearce and the reluctance to give up on Lamb and Cogger has cast some doubt on Watsons position in his new club. If he plays in the 6 I would expect his score to pretty much mirror Luke Keary, he just doesn’t kick the ball enough to get the consistent base stats all gun fantasy halves get, so his floor could potentially be low on a poor attacking day at the office, whilst unlikely with Ponga around, if Watson shifts to fullback his value could really take off, his talent will elevate him to a bigger role at the knights but its tough to judge his true position and thus fantasy value at Newcastle this early in the season.

Was so excited when the rumours were around about him coming to the Tigers. Like you say, best at fullback but looking forward to watching him regardless.

    Hi guys,

I have created a thread where all the player profiles will be together so if anyone is interested they don't have to go trawling through all the fantasy pages, I will still post in here when a new one becomes available then copy it over into the player profiles thread.

Great signing for the Knights when they grabbed him, but I got the feeling even then his position was up in the air, the Pearce signing has muddled it even more but he is too good to remain a 10/15 minute interchange utility

    2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 1 - Page 37 Peta_h10

    Player: Peta Hiku
    Club: Warriors
    Previous Club: Penrith Panthers/Warrington Wolves
    Position: CTR/WFB
    Cost: $282,000
    2015 average: 33.5
    2016 average: 27.5
    2017 average: 19
    2017 minutes average: 56
    Handsomeness rating: 3/5 Mitch Aubbussons
Hiku only played 9 games for the Panthers last year before being shipped off to he ESL with the Warrington Wolves, he was outstanding in England but unfortunately that doesn’t mean much. Luckily for Hiku after years with the Panthers and Sea Eagles he has the starting NRL pedigree. Oddly Hiku played 4 games off the bench for the Panthers and the rest he found himself on the wing so he scores from previous years took a nose dive, he should find himself back in the CTR for the Warriors, which would be good news for fantasy coaches.

points average 2017 when starting wing: 22 (5 games)
2016 points average: 30 (10 games playing 80 mins CTR)
2015 points average: 33.5 (21 games playing 80 mins 7 games CTR, 2 games Fullback, 10 games wing)

    Wrap up
Another moving back to his homeland, Hiku should find himself back in his preferred position in the CTR where he averages around the 30 point mark, but the Warrior have plenty of options in the backline so his starting position there isn’t nailed on. If Hiku is named to start in the CTR come R1 he will be in plenty of fantasy teams because he will make some cash and provide some solid scores, his DPP is nice.

    2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 1 - Page 37 Brett_10

    Player: Brett Morris
    Club: Canterbury Bulldogs
    Position: WFB
    Cost: $423,000
    2015 average: 41
    2016 average: 38
    2017 average: 29
    2017 minutes average: 78
    Handsomeness rating: 2/5 Mitch Aubbussons

Brett Morris or as he is more affectionately known in fantasy circles BMoz, has started to show his age over the last 3 seasons missing 36 games due to injury (and origin) so there is a fair amount of risk from that perspective alone. His scoring average as is most, is far better when BMoz plays in the 1 shirt and with Hoppo there last year and talk of Mbye there this year, there is plenty of traffic ahead of him so he looks set to start the season on the wing.

points average 2017 when starting wing: 28 (16 games)
points average 2016 when starting wing: 36 (9 games)
    2017 Low score: 9 in R20 high Score: 61 in R3 (2 tries)

    Wrap up
If BMoz can stay injury clear which is a massive IF, he is still a weapon, even on the wing, his scores will be reliant on tries (he only scored 6 last season) and there’s hope Dean Pay can alter the putrid Bulldogs attack, the trick in selecting Bmoz will be deciding whether his recent injuries have curtailed his brilliant career early or that that he can stay on the field and his poor scoring from last term was from a result of being bogged down in Des forward orientated game plan.

Panthers pack going to be interesting... only certain starters are Yeo, Merrin and Tamou (RCG is effectively a starter in that he'll still do 50+ minutes off the bench), but Merrin could move up to starting prop with JFH or Kikau at lock, or Cartwright playing an old-style 13. Any one of those three plus CHN could be the other starting second-row. The ones who aren't (other than Cartwright) can still score points as bench props. Cartwright, Kikau and JFH are all dirt cheap. There's a lot of money to be made there, but it's up in the air as to exactly where.

    Player: Josh Mcguire

    Club: Brisbane Broncos
    Position: FRF/2RF
Cost: $679,000 priced at 46.4 points
    2015 average: 48
    2016 average: 48
    2017 average: 46
    2017 minutes average: 59

Handsomeness rating: 1/5 Mitch Aubbussons (grub cunt)
Last pre season there was a heap of talk about the donkey grub Josh Mcguire and his move to lock, soley used as a prop in previous seasons, Mcguire has always been a big worker and many thought his scores would elevate with the move to lock with the potential for extra minutes in a young Broncos pack. That didn’t materialise…..after first glace at his season average….I didn’t select McGuire but can always remember regretting I hadn’t last year so I did some stats digging

    2017 points average R1-R14: 51 (13 games)
    2017 points average R15-R26: 44 (8 games discounting injury affected R17)
2017 R16, R20, R21 with origin and a DNP inbetween for an avg of 30, really knocked his average down

    Wrap up
Losing Easy E and Adam Blair from the Donkeys pack could elevate McGuire further, I’m not sure his minutes will increase much more than the 60 he averaged last year so it will need to come from increased attacking output which is tough is suddenly find, however his FRF/2RF DPP is a big plus and even if he only stretches his 2017 early season R1-R14 and late season R22 through finals average of 51 he will be a great early season buy

    predicted average: 48-51

    Position: HLF
Cost: $493,000 priced at 33.6 points
    2015 average: 37 (when starting Half: 43)
    2016 average: 45
    2017 average: 34
    2017 minutes average: 70
Handsomeness rating: 2.5/5 Mitch Aubbussons (grub cunt but more handsome than Josh McGuire grub cunt)

Love him or hate him Josh Reynolds or JRey is a great footballer when he isn’t acting like a cunt on the field, actually that isn’t fair, its that sort of niggly play which sometimes make him great and sometimes just makes him a cunt. I love him and I think it’s a great move for the Tigers, his average took a big dip last year (10 points from previous year) and was his lowest season average since Milchys spreadsheets became a thing.

2017 adjusted points average minus injury affected games:37 (14 games)
    2017 low score when playing 80 minutes R6: 17 high score R21: 63 (1 try)

    Wrap up
His half partner Brooks has never been an ultra dominant kicking half, so Reynolds should get some decent KM totals, some exciting backs at the Tigers and decent edge forwards should give him some decent opportunities to create and rack up some attacking points, JRey is a pretty safe bet to at least hold his value, unless  having Benji back affects his minutes or whether Cleary deems Lolohea more worthy of the 6 jumper, but free from the shackles of some abhorrent attacking structure from his final season at Belmore, JRey should find a home right away under Clearys tutelage and return to fantasy form

    Predicted average: 35-45

Grub looks alright in that jersey. The interviews I've seen, well, the khunt is starting to grow on me. More like a tumour than anything good but. I think he will share too many KM's with Brooks to becomes a Gun again so is resigned to being a mid ranger as your suggested average says.
