The Fox sports Aleague fantasy this year gives you 2 free trades every week. Use them or lose them.
So I tend to use them every week, just play around with my subs try and Chase cash based on BEs or matchups.

The number of times I have traded out a player just before he had a big game is amazing.

Three trades a round for BBL fantasy in the same vein Milchy.

I've got Maxwell too who's only now when the series is over coming in to the ODI squad. This will be my worst round by like 200 points. Plus I had Turner who got a golden duck the other day. The long dick of luck is turkey slapping the shit out of my team Bang

The debate is over. I concede that luck plays a huge part of success in this frustrating game

I play this every year and you definitely need a higher amount of luck than NRL Fantasy to rank well. Coming 156th and having a terrible round.

I'm coming 63rd at the moment but unless Pietersen goes huge, I think I will completely drop out of the race with how terrible I'm going

Does anyone think Taupau could become an option? With Brenton Lawrence gone, Manly signed an edge back rower in Thompson and will shift Frankenstein to the bench which will mean one less prop in the rotation and room for more minutes.

Taupau is an option regardless, he’s been fantasy relevant for years and with his obsessive compulsive offloading he may be worth even more this year.

He's priced at 51-52 as well which could be undervalued

Taupau is priced appropriately. He has a high ceiling and can easily string string a few big games together, but long term I don't see much value there.

Taupau has nigh on the same average over the last 3 years can’t see much scope for improvement

Does anyone think Merrin can come back this year? I watched him kill me in 2016 not having him so I bought him and persisted with him in 17. A player that has burned me twice in two years for opposite reasons. Can’t help but think he will never play 80 but in saying that he hasn’t needed to in the past to go big. Thoughts?

Merrin as a fantasy asset always starts slow. It's better to get him later in the season if at all.

I'm thinking of starting with Cronk & Moses as my halves to start the season. I think both are undervalued because Moses will inherit the goal kicking while Gutherson is out & he might even retain it when he returns & Cronk because he'll inherit Pearce's kicking metres which are much higher than when he had to share with Smith. Also both will play the first bye.

I'm going with Cronk and Watson at the moment. How much do you expect Moses to average?

A lot of people are going with Cronk and I just dont see it. Yes there is the chance he may get a few more km for points but I think people forget who Cronk is..... Cronk makes others around him play better, he will probably be teaching Friend how to kick out of dummy half and Keary positional kicks as well. Cronks strong point isn’t going out and being the hero (like Pierce), Cronk builds the players around him and therefore although his scores will increase I can’t see it being by that much.

He averaged 42 the last 6 rounds when he took over the goal kicking but I expect around 45 points per game but he is rocks & diamonds. Those last 6 rounds comprised 2 * 60's scores, 2 * 40's & a 19 & 18. I also have Watson but he's on my bench for his dpp coverage.

I highly doubt they'll base their attacking structures based on how the Storm utilise their hooker and 5/8. I'm sure the Roosters won't want to change what worked for them last year. Keary was fantastic last year. I can't see him being told to do anything but play what he sees and leave the kicking to Cronk. Friend might develop a kicking game but there's no way it will suddenly spike up to Smith levels.

Did his defending improve towards the end of the year?
