Such a funny ol' game this is. Just spent all morning messing around building a team that I know will change another 100 times before the season....

The things that I'm struggling with:

Watson. Not sure he's worth it. As a knights fan, Lamb was great for a big part of last season....I just can't see him not getting a shot.

Cartwright. Will he start or be equally shit as he was last year?

Lichaa / Cook. Will both / either / none get 80. At the moment I think none will, but I guess the trials will tell us more.

Lodge. Grub. Don't like seeing him there.

Aubo. There seems to be a LOT of good forwards at the chooks (Liu, Matterson, SST, Cordner)

GI. Haven't been paying any attention to reports on him. Training the house down? Being slowly re-introduced? FB? CTR?

    Bring on the trial games!!!

Correct. Plantar Fasciitis can keep coming back. Generally though there are a shit load of simple reasons why it starts and they are easily identifiable. Eg new shoes, walking in bare feet, sudden weight gain etc. once you remove the cause it is generally okay.

I’m a knights fan also, Lamb is awesome but Watson is a gun and will start. Very elusive with speed to burn and can only get better playing big minutes next to Pearce. Don’t think Lamb will get a go anytime soon unfortunately.

Don’t think there is any sign of Farah so Cook should get big minutes

Lodge, great value and potential. Yes he’s a grub but probably a must have somewhere in your team

Not sure about Aubo, there are other better options at his price?

Have picked GI also, good value, huge scoring potential if he gets back to his best

Heard that maybe CHN might miss the start of the season with an injury?.. so carty might get a go?

Young Sharks winger Sione Katoa (not to be confused with his namesake at the Panthers) is a bolter for round 1 according to the coach re the replacement for Beale's wing spot. Note that he hasn't been added to fantasy yet.

Even if it were true Seibold would go with Farah, they’re paying overs for him and to not field him would be a waste. Hence the Groundhog Day of Cook and Granville continues. Always talk of playing 80 but we will never see it

Heard the same thing but realistically that spot is for Gray

Seibold stated in an article he wants an 80 min hooker and a utility to cover other positions on the bench (naming Adam Doueihi and Fuimaono as options), and I imagine the other three positions would be two props and 1 second row forward cover. Kyle Turner is going to be used as a middle forward only.

    My guess is

    Turgess, Cook, Musgrove
    Surgess, Chricton
    Murray

with a bench of (Doueihi/Fuimaono, Gurgess, KTurner, Sutton). Jason Clark would be in the mix to make the 17.

Souths are paying Farah less than the Tigers were when they had him in reserve grade

Which is still more than double what they pay Cook, Tigers might like throwing money away I don’t think Souths are the same.
