Ah, you are correct, just seen that now. I do in fact have an opponent - and a pretty good one at that.

Cheers Milch. MCK looking valuable for those that got him already! I had a couple trades planned this week, may ditch one to get better C cover! If Matterson is out long term and people don't get good cover for him, MCK could get you 5-10 points or so on average per week.

Is Matterson a trade? He might not play until after the bye... worth holding and just run with Marsters/Fonua?

My thoughts are that if you work of the basis that he will be back in round 18 then he is a hold in VSDT but a trade in NRLF.

Thats mainly because in NRLF you have a whole host of options to replace him, but in VSDT you'd be looking at Cs only and no-one really stands out to me.

Also in NRFL he is not a must have so trading him out costs you one trade and there is no real need to bring him back in. On the other hand with VSDT he is a must have so as soon as he's back you'll have to trade again to get him.

The bit that worries me is his timeline. We are working off of 2 weeks but as many have stated elsewhere on the forum if his concussion is bad he could be done for the season!

I don’t think the concussion is still a concern as nrl physio reports he had a small surgery on his wrist yesterday, recovery time 1-2 weeks.
Should be back rd16 at the latest

I hope you are right. I just don't have full confidence in nrl physio. I'll be holding him through to that time regardless though to see how things pan out. If he is still out come round 18 then I resist the decision.

R16 is 3 weeks away, you'd think he'll be OK by then, if what has been reported is true.
    Although he then misses R17

if you trade him iut, ideal situation is he plays 16 and scores poorly, so he's nioce and cheap for R18.

I am holding him, but have brought in Takairangi, who I'm hoping will start in the 2nd row whilst Moeroa is out.

For those trading Matterson who are you trading to?

My centres to start the round are Fonua, Doueihi, Matterson, Inglis

Trading Inglis to Takairangi. But can't see any obvious trades for Matterson that are much better than playing Fonua/Taka

Can make a decision later on whether to bring in Aitken/Mitchell/whoever as CTR option to replace Matterson if he doesn't come good

Im with you, I just don't see Materson as a trade, yet, in this comp.

I'll be giving him till 18 to get sorted.

For now Im rolling with Guth and Doueihi/Isaako for this week, haven't decided which.

I was considering bringing in MCK, but I really need to go Watson to Cleary/SJ this week and also bring in Arrow so trading Cs is a luxury I don't have right now. C is a crap shoot anyway.

Also I don't have the 2 extra trades to drop Matterson and bring him back again. And you are screwed without Matterson at C. He's 10 points a game better than anyone else so far this year. so thats 80 points from 18 if you don't have him.

my eliminator is going to be close. I am 247 ahead and he has six players to go - Aitken, Dufty, RFM, Vaughan, Munster, and an AE for Martin (Katoa, Isaako or Olive - surely one of them will have a shocker...). Have to decide whether to go with Fifita or Smith as captain (he has Fifita).

I think u r ahead slightly mate so I’d make ur captain the same as him to minimize his chances of catching u

I'd go Smith but I like the risk in the Eliminator lol Fifita definitely the safe option
