Would love to see them compete for the 8.
Looks like they are missing the 8 again !

Jack bird just said he is aiming for round 4, but probably round 5.. so a bronx centre will probably get a few games. Probably not enough to be worth it

I think Fitzgibbon will remain starting on the edge with Jamie Buhrer at 14 like he was last year spelling the backrow and Levi

He'll play more. Between origin and the Broncos backline being held together with electrical tape, Opacic will get enough games to see price rises.

Hey guys, please rate my team.
Going Smithless, Fifitaless, and Brownlee maybe to my demise
Cook
Lodge Gurgess
Harris Arrow RFM
Croft Croker/Hastings
Aitken Milne
Teddy (c) Nofo Ponga
Nas Watson Lichaa Cartwright
Kikau Garvey Hiku A. Gray
340k ITB.. Thinking about dropping Aitken to save money and upgrading Gurgess to Ese'ese or similar price starter.
Thanks in advance

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 4
Went to a lunch today that Wayne Bennett was speaking at. He was asked a few questions about the Broncos this year - as expected he didn't let on about anything groundbreaking. A couple of things I did take away from it:
- Nikorima has earned his chance to show what he can do at half (compared to other players he talked about this seemed quite unenthusiastic - I got the impression Bennett would be willing to try someone else there if they don't get results)
- He doesn't want Jack Bird to be a Mr Fixit. He wants Bird to have a long-term role in one position (though he talked about Bird's ability to play centre, lock or 5/8 and didn't say where he sees that long-term role being)
- He rates Lodge highly. Said he likes that he's got good size but can still play 30-40min without a break if needed. Doesn't have any concerns about Lodge's past - said he's been off the booze for 2years and has shown nothing but good character since he's been at the Broncos.
Other than that had some good stories about Alfie, Webke, Wendell etc. from back in the day, plus some interesting stuff about how he approaches coaching (in the context of a question about how he thought Brad Thorn would go as the Reds coach this year)

@Rapture NRL
Honestly, from my perspective you have taken A LOT of risks and the team is bad. Lack of decent captain kills your team. Teddy wont be scoring 65-70 every single week. (Or will he...?)

I still haven't made my team nor seen any player prices, but I think Cartwright is a trap.

Hi all
Back at this fantasy time sink again. I ran out of trades early doors last season so I'm hoping not to fall into that trap again.
Plenty to absorb here already! I'll have a generic team put together soon

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 4
@Finch true that. Forgot to mention I'm playing H2H so not too worried about first 3-4 rounds... But could just be stupid lol I'm worried about needing more value/cashies versus guns than previous years since we already lose 4 spots. Thanks for the reply

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 4
I reckon the most important rounds of fantasy are the first few rounds of the season. Fixing up your initial"mistakes" and correcting them with the "right" players can make or break your season. If you don't trade in the first 3-4 rounds, you can take a massive hit and be $500K or so behind the 8 ball, if not more.

This year more than ever. With less players making cash and no bye rounds to make up major ground the start is crucial.
