Incredible just what a transformation this squad actually is. Fair play to them. Looks like a franchise start-up it is so new (or like a Roosters B side anyway)

Really looking forward to watching the Knights go this year

Add in Moga, Barnett, Saifiti brothers, Levi on top of that! Impressive

The one thing this team has over other teams is that the 18-21 appear more useful than most. Most people with Garvey/Hiku are playing them, and relying on $228k players turning up in team lists, which is a risky strategy.
Long term, a team like this may have better prospects.

As a guns and cows guy from way back it’s tricky for me to create a middling team but this comment really fits the changing times and rules.

    I’ve changed so my non playing bench is;
    - Latu FRF
    - Garvey HK
    - Croker HLF
    - Milne CTR

Have given away the DPP flexibility in order to have more depth.

Fitting as many DPP as I can in my 14-17 - currently Watson and Cartwright both helping there.

Have I missed a memo or has everyone just gone sour on Arrow? I realise Carty is probably playing 2RF now but does that really push Arrow out of lock/the team?

I just got Arrow back in. Think he’s an amazing option at the price and love this sort of player getting away from the Broncs. He will be Wallace Mark II and a nice enabler at the price

Brennan was quoted as saying he sees Cartwright as a ball playing lock. I think everyone is just waiting for some team lists before committing either way

I will have Arrow in my side until there's something conclusive to say otherwise. Titans rate him highly.

Ive said it earlier but gut feel is that brennan brings cartwrigt off the bench for the first few weeks at least, and then decides where to fit him into the starting side if hes earned it

Wasnt shown anywhere, closed stadium. Fox sports were allowed in for the first half but theres only very minimal footage online. Few match reports say the new halves went well..

It was 36 degrees in melb yesterday i think so there would have been some tired forwards

For starters get Milne into your centres and drop Hiku out.

Halves position has a lot of value this year, for the price of Pearce and Croker you could have a combination of Croft/Watson/Carty/Cronk possibly that should make some money aswell as score well. Croker can be a back up half.

Doesn't really have any meaningful cover though. Any of ya halves disappear ya pooped. Even if a FRF or 2RF go down ya backups aren't gonna be a lot of help

Fox Sports News had some footage of the Knights trial.

It was basically just Pearce-cam. Just showed him passing and kicking the ball. One of the passes was for Fitzgibbon's try, but they didn't actually show the try being scored, camera stayed on Pearce

I agree, the more I play around the more I'm thinking that you may need to even everything out and have some sort of depth on the bench. If you roll the dice with too many rookies to fit your guns in and a majority of them fail, you're pretty much fucked and you'll just be trading dud cow for new cow and may risk falling behind quite quickly, especially if a percentage of your 17 aren't performing and you've tied your trades up in your duds.

Any thoughts on McQueen pre-trials? Seems like there might be cheap minutes on offer.

Definitely value there if he gets a starting second row spot.

He is definitely in my DreamTeam side where you can pick him at CTR.
Fantasy he'll be up for consideration against the likes of RFM, Arrow, Cartwright, NAS.

Don't remember McQueen being fantasy relevant even as a big minute player for a champion Souths team, but might be wrong.
