Besides raiders hooker and Croker, who are the best/ most likely cheap (228k or less) guys?

Don't know anything about him but Sione Katoa seems rated highly and has an edge for a rnd 1 spot, as does Luciano Leilua for a bench spot. Andrew Savelio, Keegan Hipgrave and Payne Haas have been thrown around a bit.
However this is just purely off the hype and they could be named in the extended squads for a while or even lower.
On the topic of rookies/cash cows, does anyone know of any to avoid? (eg. past years; Elgey, Feeney, Nabuli. etc)

Murray is also another one, but I don't think it will hurt me as much.

With all the 2nd rowers at the Panthers and him being fit surely he is custodian there for the entire season and is seriously worth considering.... or are my memories deceptive.?

He averaged 35 at centre last year which is what he is priced at.
2016 he averaged 44 at centre.

Ah OK. That answers my questions ThanQu! I wonder what led to the the decline in scoring. I don't get to see as many games as what I would like to.
On another note, I am starting to think that Jai Arrow may be a trap, particularly if he starts of the bench and B. Cartwright starts at lock. The promise that was made to Arrow on signing was before Cartwright was signed. I have taken him out of my team for the first time, just now.

Milne also around, but everyone already has him in their starting 13.
The problem is there are going to be dud cheapies, guys like Feeney, Phythian, Elgey, ROry O'Brien etc. People won't deliberately select these guys but every year they pop up in people's teams.
Normally its not the end of the world to have a dud if you have 6-7 other cheapies who are doing their job.
The problem is going to be what to do when Kikau/Katoa/whoever put up a poor round 1 score. Will you give them another week or 2, or play trade roulette chasing guys you missed who scored OK. Will chew through the trades doing this, and depending what sort of bankroll you have, might force you to downgrade players you otherwise wouldn't want to.
The small squads this year make it even more important to get it right first time. Getting caught with a Feeney is going to be painful.

Not 228k, but Darcy Lussick 285K and starting FRF has been in most of my 22-25 lists. Could possibly be Milne to, but I like having him in my 21 with Aubusson as back up centre in the 18-21. What we really need is a cheap CTR/WFB to pop up. Hopefully this Sione Katoa is it???
