MF was talking about letting people down though, if Inglis doesn't go below where he is priced but doesn't increase either, would you be let down? After all you only get so many positions to fill and I assume you will be using him in your team so you can't go back and get those points you missed playing him over someone else. I dunno, i sorta side with MF's original line of thought, after all "No way Jayne ends up a disappointment".Welshy wrote:

Only way Inglis lets you down at his current price is if he gets injured straight away
In last 4 fantasy seasons, he has never been below a 42 average, so no that wouldn't let me down

Its more the fact that I think hes going to be less involved in the team. Gagai is going to be their go to guy for a point in attack more than their centres have been in the last umm 4 years? AJ will have a bigger role even if named on the wing he'll be roving and I'm sure he'll be doing a lot of kick returns to save Inglis knees.

I didn't jump on Whitehead his first year haha. All these years people have been laughing that you didn't put him in after shouting the name Whitehead in the streets but I kept that I didn't get him to myself quietly haha

When you bring stats into it that's what confuses me. I can have all these theories on what the teams will do but at the end of the day if hes playing he wont be scratching his ass out on the wing
hmm..
I'm going to bed too much to think about

I reckon Manu Welshy. Kata cannot pass to save his life and I
remember Manu setting up a beautiful ball for an Aubbs try last season.
Manu plays first bye unlike Kata and the chooks have great opening fixtures
meanwhile the Warriors are starting in Perth!!! Cronk may deliver some outstanding
ball to Manu's flank.

I might even lob Kata in with Manu and take Hiku out, just a gut feel he will return to decent fantasy CTR scoring 35+
I like Manu and the kid is a beast, I'm looking for someone with potential who I think can elevate his fantasy game and get a quick start off some big opening round scores and they both fall into that category

What is he currently priced at though (scoring wise)? What if he continues to score at his current price, you ok with that?Welshy wrote:

Or what if he averages 42, but he only plays 3 out of the first 7 weeks (with like 2 weeks on 1 week off type stuff)? Comfortable you could carry him during that time and not lose a lot of points having to sub someone in or be forced to burn a trade?

priced at 34, I wouldn't pick him if I thought he would continue at that price
even if you go half way on between where he is priced and his worse fantasy season ( 4 years) 38 I'd be ok with that
I' bet you he scores better than his 34 average?

That's a question you can ask for any fantasy player isn't it?

Only with the proviso that he has to play 75% or more of the games within a season.Welshy wrote:

Sure but there is a difference in likelyhood from player to player. Say Dugan vs Cotric for example.Welshy wrote:

I mean.. it all contributes to your total score at the end of the day.. but no, ill allow origin to be excluded just to make it interesting.Welshy wrote:

Cotric has played 1 year so injury likelyhood is less, but i know what your saying
Same was said for Tedesco few years back and Slater last year
