    Smith
    Lodge SST
    Merrin Whitehead RFM
    Croft Carty
    Mitchell BJ
    Teddy Katoa Ponga

    Cook AFB Griffin Nicholls

    Havilli Croker Kennar Isaako/Kikau

Don't like having to start Nichols though, but not much can be done.

I also think Kikau is a trap and I can't trust Rochows job security one little bit.

Your team was looking the goods until I saw Katoa in your starting WFB. Yuck.

Think I might stick with Teddy, Ponga and Dufty. Looks solid to me.

Would you downgrade whitehead to rochow (already have Brown and Merrin as highest priced 2rfs) to turn Hiku into Inglis at ctr? Other ctr is leilua.

    Whitehead hiku vs rochow inglis

Im starting to feel as though rochow may just last longer than weve previously assumed.

I wish I'd never heard of this Corey Thompson lad a week ago. Now having a hard time deciding who to drop between him, Sharks Katoa or Kennar. The latter's DP status probably saves him.

Have $248k spare with this squad:

    HK: (C)am
    FR: JBrom, Matulino
    SR: NBrown, SST, Arrow
    HF: JRey, Cartwright
    CT: Hiku, Isaako
    FB: Ponga, Moylan, Thompson

INT: Cook, Kodi Niko, Big Nelson, Lodge

    RES: LCroker, Nicholls, Kennar, Katoa.

With SST and Arrow apparently getting FR added, Matulino might have to start packing.

Struggling with these limited spots though.. Trying to fit Croft back in after dropping him for Cook and Faitala-Mariner's another I'd like to fit in.. but turning Katoa or Thompson into a more sure WFB is also tempting.

Maybe just annihilate the 3 Tigers in Matulino, JRey and Thompson since there may be bias involved in their selection.. Replace with RFM, Croft and a sub 620k WFB.. Decisions.

That one centre spot (that was Taka) has left me torn.
Thinking of going Ponga, Fifita and Taka to Turbo, RFM & Mitchell (CTR) with no reserves for WFB/CTR on the bench (Kennar dropped for McKendry).

    Thoughts?

    you can say you want a team of 750k (50avg) players in every slot apart from the ctrs which you can lower to 600k (40avg) = 15x750 + 2x600 = 12.45m + 4nuffies = 13.3m

you start with 9.4m and you wanna turn that into 13.3m with 34 trades. make it 4mil/34 = 117k per trade on avg

however this calculation ignores the money you make from your initial squad of 21 players, so the real number may be lower if you play perfectly

but we all know for a fact that that number needs to be higher because of your feenies, abbies and injuries

Really can't see Matulino doing much Fantasy wise. Although looking at the bench and losing Woods minutes someone has to get the extras, but probably Twal has a long single stint maybe?

Yeah tends to be a nice thing to read for the morning commute, the downside as you've found out is that you're not really in a productive mood.

Anyone have any stats on Hiku? Can't help but feel like he was a massive fantasy flop in the past?

I think Turbo RFM and Mitchell are excellent picks. Really, really good, but I'm going to almost certainly have one to cover those positions myself. With a bit of luck though, could be a master-stroke.

Not to mention that the 13.3 million required to win was, I assume, pulled from the air. No one knows what team value will be required to win with this new format.

Edit: Wait I read it again, yeah that's a good educated guess on final team value.

Yeah there's a tonne of minutes freed up with Woods' departure.. Quite a few 70 odd minute games from the Woodsman, and I thought Matulino was dicked around a fair bit at the Warriors. I remember a mate having him in the past and he went alright when starting or getting a good run off the bench.. no stats to back that up though, selective memory maybe.

Twal and Eisenhuth were pretty good last season though and Rochow can play FR aswell.. so maybe Matulino won't have the role I anticipated initially. And despite our line-up changes, I dunno how many teams are worse than us this season.. Maybe Knights continue to suck.. Titans and maybe Warriors fall in a heap? Not sure how much go-forward our pack will actually have.

"Past performance is not an indicator of future outcomes". I just don't see Hiku scoring well in that Warriors side.
