Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 9
Munster isnt getting DPP. They said "because its a short term replacement". While I see their point I think its a bit risky to influence the comp by making judgement calls. If Slater ends up being out longer than expected (has happened before with storm players), munster could be fb longer than other players who got DPP will be in their respective new positions..

Seeing as Gutho's return date has been pushed back to week 8 and French's form in the trials, is he worth running at the back for 2 months. His BE is 32, surely playing FB in and around Moses and Norman who don't mind a little inside outside ball (insert the 3 times they did it to Will Smith last year in the one game resulting in 2 tries) surely he can average 40+?

Yeah that's some BS in Munster's case. If the player in question has played that position a number of times in the past, it should be a no-brainer.
How much FR has Arrow even played before? If JWall was only suspended/injured for 1 week, would they not have added it?

Sheesh finally caught up. Got a new job and having a hard time keeping up with the forum now, lots to catch up on with other stuff too. If Fusitua was in the CTR I would pick him, he doesn't really go looking for work so his scores are based on tries really.
Also somebody said they would pick him if he was playing for a good side. Watch the Warriors beat the Rabbits this week and make it to the top 8 this year.

Any word if JT will 100% be kicking goals? He didn't kick in the last two trials I heard? If he's not kicking goals I want to get rid of him.

No word, but I was at the second trial in Brisbane 8th row in torrential rain and a shitty poncho, and the way ELowe was kicking I think I would be better off kicking for their team. So yes I would say they were just practising for next year.

Been strongly considering as a bit of a POD
I actually have mbye as a wfb at the moment. Huge unknown quantity but his strength has always been his running game. Kicking goals too. But french would leave me a bit in the kitty to fix 228k mistakes.
Anyone got any thoughts on either? Both are gut feel calls really, and hoping for tries/alot of attack.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 9
I'm currently copying Booze with no CTR/WFB cover.
But I also have all 3 of Griffin, Havili, Godinet. Might ditch one of those for Kennar/Isaako
Also running with Hayne. Think Gutho staying out might give him a bit of time at fullback and his scores will be OK.
Also considering Inglis at CTR

I have the same idea... No CTR/WFB cover for the starting rounds of the season... make some quick cash of the cheap hookers, I expect them to score more consistent than the other cheap options at CTR/WFB
I'm not running with Watson...
Will be having LCroker on the bench as he's bottom dollar

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 9
i keep coming back to Mbye at WFB with Katoa on the bench - if one of my halves is going to miss a game or 2 i can move Katoa into WFB and Mbye to HLF.
Worried that Croker will be better than i'm expecting though and I'll be behind every man and his dog who have him.

Aubbs, Hiku
Teddy, Mitchell, Ponga
Cook, Arrow, Fualalo, Nicholls
Godinet, Katoa, Croker, Thompson
Thoughts going into the season?

Cheers Finchy. Im just not fussed on the hack cheap centre options at all, and its either Latrell and Cotric/Fusitua. Have been burnt in the past like many other say, fumbling around wasting trades in the possie.
No way im having Hayne who hasnt shown one iota of form in years.
