You could do that, or you could leave out lodge and death ride that scumbag instead as I've done.

Not investing terribly highly in NRL Fantasy this year but for what its worth, here's my team - I quite like it but interested in what you guys think:

    Cook
    Fifita, Lodge
    Merlin, Whitehead, RFM
    Croft, Cartright
    Maubs, GI
    Teddy, Ponga, Dufty

    Arrow, Griffen, Rochow, Nichols

    Havili, Godinet, Croker, Katoa ($63k)

Major downside is no decent backup half.

I’ve got a feeling the Knights will bring on Lamb to the halves, Watson gives Griffin a stint on the bench and then depending on the game, Watson remains, Griffin returns, or Burher shifts to dummy half and they have their starting pack to finish. It’s a shimozzle!

Eh, I've gotten by most seasons without picking blokes i think are absolute flogs. I could say its why I've never won the thing, but i think we all know theres plenty of other reasons holding me back.
Also, i just don't think he's the sure thing everyone makes him out to be. Always tends to be one hugely popular cheapy who winds up a flop, why not be that dickhead. Happy enough with my team (you might have missed it earlier).

Even if Levi plays next week Griffin should see 50 minutes as the starting hooker.

True mate, but for a starting prop who only has to manage 35 points to raise over $150,000 cash he has to be considered, everyone knows the guy is a cunt

I have Griffin, but with Lamb and Buhrer on the bench I'm reconsidering his minutes

if he gets 60/65 like most hookers with bench cover, he will be gold, not sure he is quite worth it for 50 mins

    1) Not convinced he averages anything above mid 20's
    2) even if he does, not convinced he plays more than 5 weeks so you might not see all that cash depending on what he scores in those 5 weeks.
    3) I reckon i can make that kinda cash elsewhere anyway.

But yeah, i see the appeal in picking him. Was just saying if you want to separate yourself from the heard, there is better blokes to drop and death ride than Smith.

Yep. I’m pointing the bone at Smith, Teddy, Lodge, Watson & Bromwich. Just to name a few Cheers

    Fair.

with that donkeys bench I can see him playing anything less than 45/50 and he goes well usually

I'm happy enough going with Lodge for pure fantasy purposes

Buhrer should replace Barnett/Fitzgibbon when he comes on. Heighington and Saifiti will be in the prop rotation replacing Ese'ese and Lillyman, Lamb to come on on the halves, Watson to hooker, Griffin to bench but you don't want Watson playing longer than 20 minutes at hooker IMO so Griffin should see 55-60 minutes.
