Anyway, could be worth a small play if you want something different.

Hahah it’s funny coz the bloke who told me this was correct about bachelor. Probably just some dude who assumes he’s got 1-3 chances of been correct

Hold on, are you guys saying that Masterchef has actually finished, but you can still bet on the outcome?

I had no idea, I figured they filmed a day or so out for airing and that betting would close once there was an outcome...

    Wow.

I have no idea, but even if it wasn't yet "finished", these types of shows are "scripted" to a degree. The winner is often pre determined.

Yeah same for both Masterchef and House Rules. Pre recorded. There's a disclaimer on the page that the betting agency may already know the outcome.

Can find only one horse to back tomorrow (and it's name isn't Sashben).
Warwick Farm race 5 #11, Seventhchic. Down in class, nice jockey change and good odds. I'll have a nibble at the chic.

    Wow.

On a similar note, I don't know why betting agencies offer novelty bets that are so easily manipulated by the people being bet on (without involving match fixing)

Eg - taking bets on what colour tie Laurie Oakes would wear in the last election. Oakes was aware of the bet and changed ties 5 times during the coverage.

Ive never bet on these types of bets but I wonder if they have limits on them? i.e. max bet $100 of something?

    Who knows

The worst one is the english goalie who got fined and sacked for eating a pie during an FA Cup game .

He was on the bench, found out about the bet and ate a pie for a joke. Then got busted for "influencing the betting market"

Once he found out about the bet, i don't see how eating a pie is any more influential than not eating a pie. In either case he could just have easily told any of his friends what the outcome was going to be.
