I'd prefer an out and out halfback. You look at the best 7's in the league and they're natural halfbacks (JT, Cronk, Cleary, DCE, SJ etc). Nikorima showed signs last season but I said it as soon as Hunt signed with the Dragons; Nikorima will play  next year and we will be worse in 2018.

It's only 1 game so I'm not going to give the season up already but there needs to be a massive improvement this week. No better game to prove yourselves than in a derby.

In no way is SJ a natural halfback. He's a 6 through and through.

Is there really much of a difference these days?

Point is we have two attacking halves who play little defence. It's a problem.

Also sign a fucking prop who isn't a second rower/prop. Sign an ACTUAL PROP. On big money...

I still reckon Napa comes back to Brisbane in the next couple of years. No idea on his contract position.

You're literally the one who was making the distinction lol. There is a difference depending on how the team plays. If they're just a left side right side team then not really.

SJ is in no way the classic halfback. He's a 6. As evidenced on the weekend when he got to play as a 6.

Basically what I think is we have two young, attacking halves who still have a lot of development to come but I just don't think we'll make another GF with them leading the way.

I just wish we went for Cronk back in the day when he was off contract. Or kept Ash fucking Taylor Mad

I meant a prop and a halfback in one, like how your 5/8 doubles as a prop. Hint: Its the guy in your profile. I'm a bitter raiders fan making a fat joke about Macford. Why you gotta make me say it out aloud.

Yep, letting Taylor go was a horrible mistake. What were they thinking?

Sorry mate I clearly misinterpreted your post. I still wonder what Milf would be like at FB but he hasn't played 1 game there since becoming a Bronco.

Unfortunately Bennett didn't bank on Hunt leaving.

Think I will be making these trades. Although I really want SJ in,
kicking myself I didn’t start with him. Did not expect the Warriors to start so well.

I mean its safe to say he'd probably go a bit better than Boyd on 1 leg.

So I already have Kikau, Thompson, Rochow, RFM, Kennar and some slower burners (nicholls, godinet, isaako). I am content to wait and see with Murray for this week, however is the 2 trades worth it to fit in Doueihi and Griffin for players like Katoa and one of the slow burners (maybe Nicholls?) or maybe just take out Katoa with a single trade and save some for injnurt/origin down the track?

    Cheers Guys

I think your plan is sound either way. Although a tradewhore of the highest magnitude, I’ve had some decent finishes in my time and one thing I believe is true is that first 3 rounds is NOT the time to be saving trades unless you’ve got your squad amazingly correct.

This is the time for jumping on the biggest cows biggest misses and correcting those late changes or regret picks and misses.

This is basically the 4-6 trades you have to pay now you have more team and form information, and for no longer being allowed UNL moves.

Moral to the story if Thompson the player or Thompson the cash is something you want, go for it.

Personally I’m more on the Griffin miss myself. I think it was bad to have dropped him. Every other decision I can live with

Also thinking of trading my McInnes for a Munster/Cleary. Have Cook as cover on the bench.

    Should I propose it?

@Rabbit and anyone else - whats the deal with Nicholls? Is he a waste of space now as a fantasy player? I see a lot of people putting him on the chopping block, but I wonder if its too soon to judge? Or are his minutes just going to be too limited?

He got 40 minutes starting and could easily get 40 off the bench too. Was one of the Rabbits more solid forwards I thought and 28 entirely in base stats. Will be a slower burn than some of the cows but don't see him as a sell as yet.

Is there a site that shows players fantasy scores in each game. Want to know what Murray scored in the back end of last year, also minutes if possible

Is it worth burning a trade to go Hiku to Kenner? (Both would be in the starting 17.)
