Mate, you already have Kikau and Kennar right? I think Katoa to Thompson is a no brainer if you don't have to play Thompson.

If you want to move SST I would go straight to a cut price keeper that plays round 13 also, and that would be Murray.

You can then assess Havili, Nicholls and Doueihi and see whether you want to make a trade or not otherwise you could hold for next round.

Going straight to Murray from SST this weeks means you have the ability to save two trades next week.

Yep have Kikau and Kennar, he brought Thompson in as an EMG so hoping he does well for all.

I had originally planned a SST > Murray trade next week after having a look at minutes and to give SST another crack. Which would leave me with bringing in Douehi this week as well but am stuck for guys to get rid of to get him in. Cartwright, Havili, Nichols and perhaps Lodge as a POD removal are
    my main candidates

I've seen this argued on FB aren't they both Right centres so will be on opposite sides?

@Loomer correct. Kata is left side where he'll get bumped into Reserve grade by Hurrelcane

But, the thing with Thompson is I was just impressed with his offloads, tackle breaks and general work effort. He played like a second fullback. If he scores 25's the next 4 weeks he makes a $100K, but if he scores worse then it will be a wasted trade. If he scores better then you will be very happy. I am unsure. If I trade him in I won't be playing him because Katoa was an emergency.

100k was what we wanted in previous years, but isn't that 150k in todays money? If I trade him in I won't be playing him this week. If you started with him he was a great pick up but I'm not convinced he is a definite trade. If it's for Katoa in one trade (which I can't afford) then yes almost certainly. I can do Katoa to Douehi and my second trade would be Nicholls to Thompson. It needs to be considered that Nicholls might make another 20k or more, in which case I've made a trade for 80k which isn't worth it in today's money I think. But then again Thompson only needs one more good score in the next few weeks to get his profit up to around 150k, and Nicholls might not make any more money at all. His BE is 8. With big minute starting pack and four forwards on bench, I only see him getting 20 minutes so may only score slightly higher than his BE and make fuck all. It's not a no brainer. It does give me CEN/WFB cover via other dpp's which may be my deciding factor.

Just wanted to post and say thank you to everyone who is posting so much great information. As a blind person who relies on accessibility to play the game I am fucked. #FailHub My wife managed to set my team before game one and then I couldn’t do anything all weekend on the app or mobile website. She is thrilled that she is now having to fix my teams problems! I just wish the useless bastards running this game would fix the accessibility. Since my first email in January to them and my latest which was yesterday if the numbers are sequential there have been over 3000 emails! I have vented so much on Twitter that tweets now just get ignored. Typical response from the Muppets at the NRL. This includes scout. Oh, and to make my weekend worse I played the sharks guy who broke his jaw and Croaker went off for head injury assessment! #FML Just realised over the last week how much I really enjoyed this game and how much I hate #FailHub rant over! Feeling better! ????

Yes a score of 30 gets him 50K and ship has sailed.

A definitive yes. I wouldn't bother if I didn't get him this week, unless he somehow manages to go huge again

That seems like a fallacy to me. If you attributed both trades to Thompson, then the people you trade out to get him and trade in when you sell him disappear into a black hole.

I look at my Katoa>Thompson trade as a trade spent on Katoa, rather than a trade spent on Thompson. I need to be making as much money as I can, and Katoa is now useless for that purpose, at least until Rd 10 or so. I have to choose someone, it just happens to be Thompson.

I'll assess Thompson on how much money he makes between now and when I trade him out, nothing to do with this trade to get him in. Whoever I bring in for him will similarly be assessed on either how much money they make (if they're a cow) or how many points they score (if it's to a keeper).

So, for those without Murray already or doing some form of SST>Murray trade this week/next, what's the plan?

Seems like we can wait at least a week to see what Murray's minutes look like, but could be a must have soon. Personally, I'm thinking Harris>Murray next week - which is painful given Tohu played 80. Otherwise, a Cartwright>cheapie would fund an upgrade of one of my 16 mid range forwards (Arrow/Lodge/RFM/Rochow/Griffin) all of which have money to make T_T

What are Katoa owners that were running him in their back 3 doing? I've gone Thompson and I think I'm happy to run him in the back 3.
