Brown just scored poorly yesterday because his team got flogged 54-0

I think the talk of Brown trade is coming from people looking to plug holes elsewhere an looking for funds that might not be meeting their expectations.
I.e downgrade brown to Murray, upgrade cartwright to SJ. I mean, id be tempted. But those are the sorts of trades you make at the middle/back end of season.
No way you look at Brown and think he is becoming a failed gun.
Ive basically just resigned to the fact that I wont be able to bring murray in for a few weeks, unless one of my current 3 gun 2rfs gets injured.
My short term plan is to hold on current cows, ride as long as I can, then upgrade to two gun halves, then one gun FRF then plug holes from there.

No way I'd trade out Brown, if that's your biggest concern, you're doing amazingly well.

Does anyone else still have Katoa in their squad? If so, are you leaving him in there or getting rid of him. I just cant find a way to get rid of him while still benefitting my team.

Croft>Thompson 2nd trade overall?
Angry at myself for picking Croft in 1st place and Thompson still looks value. DCE Carty halves with Croker back up

Speaking of negative scores, Valentine Holmes finished on -1 and after last week's 8 he's now lost a massive $98,000 in value – and he'll need to score 66 or more to avoid another price drop this week.
Will be a good price soon

I wanted to trade Brown last week because I don't have any guns and I wanted a high scorer. That thinking is flawed, Brown will average 50+ through the season and is pretty affordable at that price. He had a quiet game because the Eels got PUMPED

If youre after poor scores and good prices, there a pile of players at the bottom of the player list. Starting price $212k cheap cheap, special deal for you.

Sharks wingers just aren't relevant (again) this season.
If he's like 300k then maybe I'd downgrade someone and keep him on my bench but that's it.

Random note, I mentioned him after round 1 - Philip Sami - a completely under the radar cheapie, scored 41 on the weekend to go with 38 from round 1. Probably too risky to grab now but i wonder if he can keep it up

Yep.
You're not gonna make many tackles spending half the game waiting for the opposition to take their conversions.

SST looked a little better last game but still not breaking any tackles like he should be the size he is... I literally have no money ITB and can just afford it lol
Also can't believe he was down for only 1 missed tackle, I saw 3 in his second stint alone. SST won't make serious money.

I'm honestly half tempted to turn my year into an experiment in crowd-think.
Vote/poll each week for if I should trade/who the trade should be for...
Half tempted.
Can't believe how badly I have started this year.

He's also getting good minutes. If they decrease he will be lucky to average 40. I am considering it hard.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 16
Thoughts on the trade?
Croft -> Thompson
Lichaa -> Cook
111K ITB to maybe fund any Cows/Mid Rangers to Guns in the next coming weeks.
Leaves me with
CS9
Arrow Lodge
Jurbo Murray RFM
Carty DCE
Kennar Mitchell
Ponga Turbo Thompson
Cook TPJ Doui Isaako
Kikau Havili Croker Katoa
I still have Katoa but I could use the 111K next weeks to upgrade Katoa to someone.
I am stick. Help would be great thanks guys. Don't really want to get rid of croft because i know he can pump out 40's and 50's but just not showing me that so far, so while he is losing money i can always jump back on him later.

Everyone talking about Croft, who still has Nikorima? 42 on the weekend wasn't too bad but helped by a try which netted around 13 points in one play. He didn't even manage a tackle break for the entire game.. potential for a bit more attack in the next few weeks (not saying tigers game will be easy, but potentially more open).. i guess he has to get at least another week.

Looks solid enough to me. Just like most teams around here, you'll have hot and cold weeks but the majority of your team will be making coin.

Brown is averaging 50 and will probably improve on that. He's a keeper and we don't trade keepers.

You're right. 56 Avg in 60-70 min games is high enough to warrant keeping him even if he isn't an 80min man.

Having a look at TPJs minutes, he's really in a 4 way rotation with Lodge, KSims and Ofa, and lodge seems to be getting most of the mins. Without the try last week and try save he probably only scores mid 30, so at $50k more is Murray not better value? I know hw will make good money but surely from here on they will make the same

Week 2: Croft and Nicholls > Douehi and TPJ
Week 3: SST > Murray
Good trades?
