As he will be playing on Jisaako's edge, does Jack Bird pass the ball much?

Agree. Green's score was inflated by the way Warriors and Titans played. Keary is like rolling a die and expecting a 7.

Crofts problem is the negatives, his tackle count, tbs(5 in 2 games) run mtrs are all pretty good for a half. I cant see those negatives going away though so that means he needs Trys and TA's to go from 20-25 to 40-45s. He will get those at some stage and he will even have games with few negatives but can he do it consistently over the season? I started the year with him, i thought he was a better defender but it seems i was wrong on that count. Teams are targetting him in attack and in defence, cutting his time down. Untill i see a change from him im out, ive traded to Korosau as the early season is showing in close game he'll play big minutes in blow outs he'll get a rest but he will generally score a heap of attacking points in those games.

If I had Croft I'd probably hold him, surely the Storm bounce back in a big way. (or maybe Bellamy throws a curve ball and puts him back to QCUP for a couple of weeks). Smith, I expect a big game.

He had so much pressure on him pre-season, this would be counter productive in my mind at this stage, maybe in another 2 or 3 games if they are still clunky.

Reference Croft's defence, look how placing Moses around reasonably competent defenders has improved his defence (2017). It comes down to decision-making, and as a half, it can be a difficult place to defend. Once Kaufusi is back, his defence should improve.

I don't have Croft, thankfully, but there is hope

I saw this. As a QLD-er this is a bit of a worry. Gagai and Chambers are the goods; GI's knees are completely boned.

Moses had one of the best defensive coaches at Parra doing work with him on how to tackle

I can see the temptation for those wanting to down grade smith. Cook is looking like a suitable replacement, and if it meant doing a Nichols type player to Murray and an Arrow to Vaughan. That's tempting.

But, every year we talk about Smith having to slow down eventually. Every year he keeps it up and proves the doubters wrong.

Specifically with Arrow he looks like he might be a cut priced keeper as well.

Yeah, the prices for Arrow Murray and TPJ mean there's a less pressure to find the budget for big 2RF scorers.

I started the year with three keepers in the 2rf (merrin, harris, Jurbo). Missed Murray and TPJ. I reckon ill hold arrow for a fair while in the frf possie and look to bring in a gun to join him in the next month or so.

Just with missed tackle talk, Luke Brooks has missed 3 in two weeks.

He used to somehow miss that in a set...
