    Trading out Havili at this stage is crazy. There is no reason to be looking to jump off Havili early for another cow who is rising faster. You might make a bit more money a bit more quickly, but for it to be worth a trade it'd have to be A LOT more money.

    If he's actually your worst performing player and you have a lot of idle money, then maybe get a gun. But for 99% of players he's a hold. He has a BE of -1 and is going fine.

    Only have 34 trades for the year. That's really not a lot.

    Looking at playing Croker and Cartwright (also Doueihi) ahead of;
    Kikau
    Kennar (starting Hiku)
    Havili
    Nichols

    I agree with the thinking Croker should be full of confidence and up against the underperforming Rabbits - points should be on offer. While I'm a little scared of Cartwright against the Dragons fwds but think he should get more than those in my emergencies. Sound?

    Carty's base PPM at lock was decent, just need minutes. I'm planning to play Kikau each week, with such a high ceiling, I expect he will average 50ish, even if he has some down weeks.

    Yeah, very good points Matt. Makes sense to be playing the players with the higher ceiling, especially in the early rounds when minutes and player consistency are still being established.

    Kikau in for Croker

    Prolly not the right way to look at it, but in the TPJ vs Murray decision this week, I'm thinking that TPJs BE is 3 and Murray is 29 - so TPJ is likely to cost about 50K more if I want to bring him in next week.

    So, assuming I will want one or both, TPJ is the necessary evil this week.

    Plus I just favour guys who play with heaps of energy and TPJ has done that in spades - at the death pulling off that cover tackle on Bolton to save the match was co....mit...ment. Loved it! So he gets rewarded by coming into my team.

    From round 4 warriors have roosters, cowboys, broncos, dragons and storm. That is part of the reason I didn't start with Hiku, and also why I won't be paying overs for Johnson or RTS like some are after the Titans game. They will have a few bad scores in that stretch as thei Warriors defense is still pretty shoddy at times. Can't base the whole season off playing the rabbitohs and titans. Those going with Johnson I feel are better to go with DCE. Good base stats with KMs and tackles if the game is a low scoring affair and has added GK now for the season. His lowest score this year should be 40+ still. Great draw and plays round 13 and 100+K cheaper. He is Cleary and Johnson scores for cheaper.

    If I could get DCE now I would.

    Macca by a distance. Friend is not an 80 player this year.

    You think a 30 minute bench second rower is going to average 50? Here is the list of second rowers that averaged 50 last year. Taumalolo, Crichton, Mannering, JDB, Gallen, Trbojevic, Nathan Brown, Taupau(if you are counting the DPP). If you think Kikau is going to match these guys you are having a laugh.

    He's not going to be playing 30 minutes. Went off with an injury after 35 minutes week 1, would have played to the end if not injured. Will get the starting spot when they get sick of being behind after 30 minutes every week and should be ahead if he is starting instead.
