Confirms that Kennar is out but doesnt advise how long for which is the important information.

Also discusses the speculation on Croker / Hastings but doesn't confirm either way.

Lots of unanswered questions still leading into lockout.

well he described kennar injury as a "hiccup" so i don't suspect its anything major

Out of curiosity, what would force you to consider not captaining him (besides bye round)? I often see people saying they captain him each week because of previous years but when does it become clear there are better options? I ask this as somebody who captains him every week but doesn't know why....

I think I will C him this week and next week definitely, regardless of score this week. I'll re assess after that and if I have run out of excuses for his scores.

In regards your last sentence, over the last 5 or so years I don't think anyone else could have made you more points as a consistent Captain for that time. That is why mate. This year there could be better options, but we have said that for a few years now and he has still proven to be the best choice.

He has taken the roulette out if Captaincy for so long now that I'm happy to not play said roulette for a few more weeks.

not to mention that in years past, the moment you find a reason to take the C off him, he hits 70+, the bloke you shifted to goes sub-50 and you wonder what the fuck you were thinking Laughing

De-risking captaincy is definitely attractive, but I would think that the overall winners (not that I am even close to being at that level), would take the calculated risk every week for the potential point boost (like that massive Hess performance last week). FootyIQ is nowhere near that level for me though.

Not answering your exact question, but on a slightly related tangent, Finch and Random annoy me because their avatars look almost identical and I always get confused as to who is posting.
Similar to that was Honeysett using a picture of Archer (the TV Show) as his avatar and I always got him confused with Archer (the bottom bitch of Tyson Frizell)

Honeysett and Archer still get me.

I have no bias towards anyone on this forum. I actually love some of rabbits stuff, really helps me build confidence in some of my choices I make (Doui and Murray). This has honestly saved my fantasy season this year! will definitely be sticking around for the long haul. Love you guys

I remember I had a H2H against my workplace nemesis a couple years back...
He captained Cam... monday night game... Cam had a shocker that night, looking like he was going to end up with a mid 40's score

    Then Smith scored a try...

    I lost the H2H

What did you eventually do with Lichaa mate?

I had him out for Matterson this week mate but have reversed that with the Kennar news as Centre I can't cover after trading Maubbs Crying or Very sad last week.

I agree with Pain as well Fraser, Rochow/Doohickey/Isaako. Isaako must be due a try and Kikau was really affected by the run of the game in Round 2. That could happen again any week, as could a large score again of course.

my over-thinking Captain Cam sob story comes from back when it was Dream Team - there was a bye week after an origin where a hooker was named on the Storm bench, back when that was very rare, and i convinced myself CP13 was the better captain choice... turns out I end up 2nd in the weekly ranking that round and the only thing between me and the weekly prize was the extra points i would've got from sticking with Captain Cam.

I dunno mate, I think Captain roulette could have cost just as many people the chance at Overall as well. Footy smarts aside and the fact that there are blokes out there like a lot of us that watch pretty much every game every week, there is still a decent amount of luck any given week.

Captaining Cam every week over the last 5 years negates that luck in my book, the odds of picking a few different Captains throughout a season versus sticking with Cam would undoubtedly be stacked against those plating roulette, no matter how much you know about the game in real life.
