Hopefully Turbo is all good. TB said that he isn’t too concerned with Turbo’s injury. Other than that I have TPJ due back next week with Kennar and then Katoa in 2 weeks time.

584/11 with DCE as captain (good update 44 to a 52). Arrow, Rochow, Isaako, Ponga, Thompson and Lodge to play. If all remaining players average about 40 should finish with around around 820. Currently sitting at 667th overall.

Might be a good pickup, would Lewis Brown get a crack first tho?
Anyone thinking of bringing Maloney in? I know he’s not normally fantasy relevant but with Cleary out he nearly made 500 kick metres, 8 goals and 16 tackles which works out about 57 points alone.
Was thinking a straight for Doueihi if Reynolds is back next week
Will seriously look at it. Could end up being the guy everyone realises in a months time that they missed out on for a quick $300k

820 is a huge score this week, like 920 most other weeks. You will significantly improve your rank from here with 6 still to play.

Reynolds has a BE of 51 so could see how he returns from injury.
Still costs 654k so under 500k would take him even with the risk factor but would take some balls given his injury history at his current price.. Will see
If you had Doueihi you could keep him as insurance for him haha

I started last season with Maloney since he went nuts during the 2016 finals, with a century and at least one other big score.. Figured he was undervalued since those scores didn't affect his price.
Don't think I want his stupid face in my team again.. took me awhile before I could finally offload him, but the damage had been done.

Yeah, I’m thinking the same. Throw a couple of attacking stats on top of that and could be getting consistent scores. I think Tyrone May may be back soon tho which might hinder his scores a little.

If Maloney could average 35 (tough ask still with all his MTs), he'd be priced around 525k.
He should be around 372k after this week.. so could be looking at making 150k or so.

I could keep him yeah, he’s currently in my halves so could push him to my emergencies.
Currently ranked 460th overall and I’m 11/507 with P. Vaughan, N. Brown, M. Dufty, K. Ponga, C. Thompson and G. Jennings to play. Hopefully can score 750-800, some of my bench was a bit slack this week....

Lets have a look at Maloney in his 2016 Premiership form (When Sharks won the comp)
So plenty of goals, played really well and discounting one game for injury he averaged 35 fantasy points
Averaged 16 tackles with around 5 missed per game
Averaged 151 Kick metres
Non base stats
5 tries for the season
1 try assist every 2 games
1 line break every 3 games
1 line break assist every 3 games.
His best Period was from round 7 to just before origin
Scored 73,43,43,42
The thing those games have in common is he scored tries in all of them
I discounted 2017 as you could argue he wasn't interested and pay issues (Average of 27 points this year)
Prior to that he was different teams and being much younger so not going to look at those
Make of that what you will
If he averages the same points as 2016 (35) he will top out at 510k
Based on 15k per point then prediction would be he prices at 378K next week and would need 4 weeks scoring 35 points to top out

Had Shaun Lane before and he can feel like a bit of a Roller coaster, averages 46 points from when he plays in the back row (excluding one game for injury)
He would be priced around 490k with a high BE so if he did start you could wait a week
Then you have Frank Winterstein, Lewis Brown, Toafofoa Sipley and Joey Lussick as options too
Toaf sipley is an out-and-out prop. Can't see him starting in second row.

Thompson is on the wing?
Let’s put it this way. He’s much more a chance of being on the wing this game than Rapana is of playing hooker....ever.

I was talking about Tanginoa out as well, but potentially Taupau can move if needed
Same with Lussick

Main thing to point out is whether he's partnered with a strong field kicking half or not.
Maloney kicked a shitload of metres with Peachey as his halves partner.
Over the last few years he's had Townshend and now Cleary taking those kick metres away from him.
He's now in a position where he is the lead tactical half, the go-to man on the fifth tackle, depending on who partners him for the next few months.

Cool, cheers Booze, I just got interested as I seen he had done almost all the kicking for his team at this week while Cleary was out.
Maloney - 492 Kick metres
Wallace - 108 Kick Metres
Edwards - 55 Kick metres
Peachy - 30 Kick Metres
That, plus a few goals and a couple of tackles and his getting around the 40 point mark

Cam Smith to James Maloney.
Never thought that trade would be an option!

Re: NRL Fantasy 2018 Thread Part 23
Well did anyone pick up Maloney prior to the last game?
I am not saying he is a bad option and may look harder myself as some of my halves are bottoming out and would be perhaps be a better option that say JMK or Williams or Croker
The big positives are Peachey at half so doesn't kick, Huge score to boost the price rises quickly and buy some time until some of the guns bottom out or return from injury.

Isn’t May back next week? He’s fantasy relevant and kicks.
