    Pre trades I had

    Smith
    Fifita, Arrow
    Whitehead, Murray, Griffin
    Doueihi, Croker
    Inglis, Isaako
    Tedesco, Ponga, JMK

    Lodge
    Cook
    RFM
    Rochow

    Kikau
    Kennar
    Havili
    Cartwright

    $400,000 odd banked

this round I wanted trades where I got Kikau into my scoring players whilst improving my halves with a gun and solidifying my WFB so I'd only be playing Isaako/Kennar as scoring hopes and the rest would be pretty reliable scorers

The Doueihi to bench thwarted my plans to have both Croker and JMK in my non scoring reserves straight off the bat but what can you do, so the only way I feel I can achieve the above is to move Smith out for a gun half - Put Cook starting hooker, move Kikau into cooks scoring INT position and use my cash to upgrade Carty into a WFB gun

Trades I have settled on currently are
    Smith - Koro via Cook
    Carty - Edwards

    Cook
    Fifita, Arrow
    Whitehead, Murray, Griffin
    Koro, JMK/Croker  Embarassed
    Inglis, Isaako  Embarassed
    Tedesco, Ponga, Edwards

    Lodge
    RFM
    Kikau
    Rochow

    looks much better to me

    @Welshy

That's the issue here, plenty of mid ranger forwards to fill the bench and earn $$ but not as many halves.
Also assuming no injuries then having a great 18/19th player doesn't help your scoring.
Awesome depth doesn't help if you score a 15 and a 10 in your halves

Worst case you bring him back once a mid ranger maxes out

I like that second team, Isaako isn't really that much different from say a Hiku.
Your second half is weak but that's for another week haha

Exactly mate! I have to do something and getting Kikau into my scoring reserves whilst dropping the hit and hopes like JMK and Croker on the bench gives my team the best higher scoring chance, adding Edwards and Koro really sures up 2 problem areas for me and if they get outscored by a JMK/Croker try scoring double at least he is making some money again

Or I could get Thompson in and save a shed load of cash for further upgrades down the line

I can do the following trades which leaves me with not a dollar left in the bank(meant to be then?) what do you think fellas?
    Smith to Koro
    Croker to JFH

    Cook
    Fifita Lodge
    Murray Arrow RFM
    DCE Koroisau
    Mitchell Isaako
    Tedesco Ponga Thompson

    Kikau
    Griffin
    JFH
    Rochow

    TPJ
    Doueihi
    Kennar
    JMK

Ideally I wouldn't be trading again until the cows have peaked so fingers crossed form and injuries permitting I think it looks ok but Id love anyone's opinion?

Also having shit depth doesn't help your main 17 as evidenced by me Laughing

EME scores of 15, 8, 3 and DNP last week. 712 from the spuds.

Thompson I think is too late, unsure what others think
Edwards is a keeper, Thompson on the wing isn't (Unless he keeps scoring doubles haha)

Haha I have been getting nailed too, Havili/JMk
Thats the thing, Smith out fixes both of those in one hit

I think it's a balancing act, but in an ideal world you can play your 18-21 at a pinch but you don't want big money tied up there early on in the season
Sometimes you got to bit the bullet and play a cheapie for a week, short term injuries happen

Yeah with these reduced squads and limited cash making + cover opportunities, I might have to ease up on the don't-trade-Smith bandwagon.

I'll stick to the old methods for now, but some of the Cam to gun half + cash trades could work out alright in the long run, if you jag the right half.

Looks strong when you have TPJ as your 18th man.. Can't argue with that team at all and similar to most..

Trades done. Will not review, well maybe, since it feels a bit wrong.

After years of stability with CS9 I can't play the captain roulette with boom/bust players.
So CS9 > McCullough as my new capt.

I have plenty of them boom/bust players so 2nd trade is chasing a bit more stability.
    Cody W.> Koro.

    Stop trading now please me

    @Archer

Are the Raiders actually playing this week? Should I play JMK over Croker and Doueihi?

    @Rabs

How many mins before Reynolds gets injured?

Yeah, I'm holding doughty for ARey's inevitable.
Currently wondering whether NAS > Rochow is too sideways. Any thoughts?

Sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere, and sorry if it's not the right spot, but anyone know what's happening with Kennar? Not only is he not listed in the team list this week, but there is no mention of why he's not there, or when/if he will be back? Can't find info about it anywhere. What's happened to the chap?

I still think NAS is a potential future trade in. I started with Rochow. Not sure I'd get now if I didn't have
