I asked pretty much this exact question earlier lol I couldn't see anyone obvious and it was frustrating being so close to JFH. In all honesty I'll probably just bank the trade at this rate

Yeah, whoever I bring in has to be good enough for the 17 this week and be good enough for make money over the next 4 weeks.

Or bank the trade and play both JMK and Croker - Doueihi in the EMG.

Nah, starts this week but could just as easily be on the Bulldogs bench next week popping on for 10 mins and bagging a single figure score.

The only regret about not starting with Cam is that i dont have him now to cash in and shop to any other player plus the left over excess !!

This is the logic I used to hear quite a bit with respect to he stock market. It seems like it's the same thing here.

With stocks the key question to ask was, has anything changed since you bought the stock? If not then your rationale for buying initially should hold and therefore the stock was not a sell. On the other hand if things had changed then the argument was a poor one because selling now could mitigate even greater losses.

So the question is, have things changed with Smith or not? Non Smith owner here, but I think they have - in fact I think things started changing for Smith last year!

If I had a third trade I'd probably trade Cronk to someone but I don't so it'll be JMK v Croker v Havili for that last spot

In space of half a day I've gone from possibly making no trades and poo-pooing Maloney trade to considering CS9>McC and Croker>Maloney. Madness?

I might have to play all 3 - red dots really hurt this year.

Yeah, was cautious about the idea of bringing in SJ, but I really struggle with other options in the Halves. I still rate SJ and Cleary as the clear Gun Halves with DCE probably next best but still a step below. I'd hate to bring in DCE for a bit more certainty for 1 week and then spend the rest of the season wanting to upgrade him to SJ anyway and needing to use another trade.

Alternatively I could leave the Halves looking like dog-crap and save the trades to review in another week - but then I potentially miss around $80k of value with JDB likely down and JFH likely up.

Nah mate, with halves like that I wouldn't be saving trades. I quite like where you've gone with your trades this week. Next week I'd be looking to cash out Havili and add a second half for Doueihi potentially. Agree with Matt though, hold on SJ until u know he is playing although Im not sure u can given the cash is coming from JDB who plays the day before.

Why not go DCE instead of SJ, and look to get SJ later? SJ does have a tendency to go down with injuries so I suspect they'll be extra cautious with him, and given they went so well with Lino I wouldn't be surprised if he misses the odd game.

    I did it

    McCullogh (c)
    Arrow Lodge
    RFM Matterson Murray
    Townsend Maloney
    Isaako Inglis
    Ponga Tedesco Mbye

    Cook Rochow Kikau Griffin

    JMK Cartwright Doueihi Kennar

The team is starting to diverge from the norm a bit, but really need to catch up. Am I stupid for bringing McCullogh and Maloney in?

Any thoughts on how long Stimpson keeps starting for the Storm??
Not sure on the peck order with some players coming back from injury.
Sure he plays 80 since he's now their goal kicker. bounce

I could do CS9>Arrow instead who I want. Have Cook and Havili worst case back up. If McC scores 65 he only goes up 21k so not running away in price but solid C option

    I like a) personally.

What about Smith to Hunt and Carty to JFH?  Sorts your Half issue and still leaves you a good bank.

Yea that is true, but merrin is slowing going down due to less minutes from JFH though

IYeah, just saw his BE is 56 as well.

I went to bed last night laughing that people were bringing Maloney in. I woke up this morning and bought him in.

What do you guys think about Turbo's injury? I need to make a guess on whether he plays or not so I can know if I need to trade or not. It really sucks that he plays late. If he played Thurs/Friday I could've just waited to see Sad

Long time lurker and thought I better make an account as I have a few issues piling up in my team this year, hopefully the experts can help me out.

    My team is as follows;

    Smith
    Roshow
    Kikau
    Arrow
    RFM
    Griffin
    Doughy
    JT
    Isaako
    GI
    Ponga
    Teddy
    Thompson

    Cook
    Lichaa
    Lodge
    Havili

    TPJ
    Kennar
    Nicholls
    Carty

Obvious issues being Nicholls, Carty, Havili and JT and Smith also maybe on the chopping block. Lacking half and centre depth, keen on bringing in a solid half like DCE, SJ or even Koroisau could do the job. Also missed out on Murray as I have too many FRF and 2RF. Currently have 459k to play with in the bank.

    Thanks in advance fellas!

I technically didn't do Smith to Maloney. I did Smith to Aitken and Nicholls to Maloney.. That's how I ended up getting myself to sleep last night
