Just a feeling Griffin is nearing his peak, only been playing 80 mins due to injuries.
If he goes back to an intended 60 mins and 30 points he is dried up as a cow, and Arrow looks a certain keeper. Levi's inclusion also make me worried.

Only other way I can get Arrow in is to sell Smith, which I am hesitant to do.

I think Arrow is a more important have than Griffin, and while it's early days, I think he could be a must have this season.

So if the only way to get him in is to ditch Griffin then I'd do it.

That being said, Griffin still has a good amount of money to make and he plays 13. My plan for him is to milk all that cash and trade him after 13. Is there anyway you can find a way to get Arrow without losing Griffin?

If all fully fit then I'd say Rochow (due to playing the Storm and how he went against them last time). But question marks over Lodge and NAS at the moment from what I can see. I might be leaning to NAS...

That's not how statistics work. Short time-series with no controls are just noise.

R1, hooker vs Bulldogs (CS9) scored 62, winning
R2, hooker vs Bulldogs (Friend) scored 57, winning
R3, hooker vs Bulldogs (Wallace) scored 42, losing
R4, hooker vs Bulldogs (Cook) scored 49, winning

So would you captain Havili this week? And if he does go huge, would you captain Jakey G next week?

It's fine to think DCE will score well and C him. Makes good sense. But basing this on Williams and Niko scores is noise, not stats.

Main 2RF scores against the Eels so far (bar Kikau)
    Rd 1 - Kikau - 63 - W
    Rd 2 - Sironen - 61 W
    Rd 3 - W.Graham - 49 - W
    Rd 4 - Rochow - 62 - W

Sounds like psychos that happen to be vegan.

Like others, I got nothing against people choosing whatever diet they want as long as they don't try and force it on me or judge me for what I eat (anymore than I judge myself for what I eat haha)

I'm all for less cruelty to animals but I can't see myself being vegetarian anytime soon and can't imagine I'll ever be vegan until they can produce foodstuffs that have similar tastes and macronutrient make up as meat/cheese/eggs.

Cap'n Ranta wrote:Agree on Koro. Don't see him as a keeper at halves (or hooker) mainly due to his minutes likely not giving him the chance to consistently score well (48+).

DCE is 3rd in line behind Cleary and Johnson as my ideal HLF keepers. Are you happy to trade him again or be content with not having the best halves by end of season. Might play Origin or be available for rd 13. On form he's playing Origin. QLD selection policies probably don't have him though. Likely as expensive as he will be all season but should be more consistent esp. picking up goal kicking. Dont see him losing a heap of cash. Can he play/score well with defences more focused on him with the loss of Tommy Turbo?

SJ is injured. When he plays injured he doesn't goal kick or seem to have the attacking flair that helps him rack up big scores. Last game was a score of 30. Current BE is 67 so with a quiet game or two could be a much more appealing price to snap up. Doesn't play rd 13.

The tier beneath them isn't too consistent or exciting but includes bye friendly C. Walker, A or J Reynolds, Townsend, Norman or K Nik, Mbye, Milf if byes aren't a worry. For a cheap cash making interim trade may I tempt you with Maloney?

But honestly, those are the two best halves available for the next 6-10 weeks. If that's worth spending an extra $150k for now (i.e. not optimally timing your trade ins) go nuts. The above is just trying to show you if you have the cash I'd do that straight away.

So on all of this. Glad you agree on Koro, I think he could be a solid 40-50 point player, but in the HLF's he is weaker than the rest.

On Cherry-Evans, if you told me right now I have the 3rd best HLF end of year in my team. While the first best half is out for the year. I take it, hell I would take it even without Cleary being out. Simply because you can't have the top scorer in every position. Having the 3rd best is fine by me, and I wouldn't trade him out.

SJ is injured, which is my big worry. I think you have talked me out of Johnson, to get him cheaper and grab a Rd 13 player.

    Out of those you listed...
Mbye is the only bloke I really like. The rest can be too inconsistent, aren't doing as good as last year or injury concerns as well.

So... Should I grab Johnson instead of Mbye. I mean, it could mean MBye ends up being a WFB keeper come end of year.

    Fair call Jimmy.

DCE is better than all of them bar Johnson and kicks goals. I'm expecting 50+ so it's what I'm going with.

Do we really think Rochow will have a sub 30 against the storm again?

And if so is it safer to have Havili in the 17 at the expense of Rochow?

I currently have Lodge our at the moment. But was thinking NAS but I’m worried about his explosiveness can bust out a 30 point play.

Thank you mate you’ve given me something to consider with Rochow too!

Speaking of 17. Havili'i, Godinet, JMK, Croker, Doueihi for the last spot in the 17.
