I'm keeping Smith too. He will come good. The whole resting over origin thing I don't think will be as much of a factor the way it's setup now and with the Storm not being at the top of their game, they are going to need wins, so Smith will be on the field.

Also on Maloney someone mentioned that Kikau was his bodyguard which will help reduce his missed tackle rate. I watched the Cowboys game & the Cowboys didn't seem keen to attack down Kikau's edge.

Was wondering why everyone was so desperate to offload him.
On the nrlfantasy player profile page, the BE listed is from the start of the round
(ie last week's BE was 15, now it is 35)

Haha, yeah I noticed that too. Kikau is such a beast. He man handled most that came near him and I agree, he does seem to protect Maloney to some extent!

I'm wondering if he will be a better trade in for Carty instead of Maloney? I must be one of the ones that doesn't have him. Not as much price rise potential at the moment but saves coin too. Hmmm..
Keep Carty and just play JMK is an interesting idea. After seeing that 8 last week though, do I have the ..
I mean, wtf is going to happen with Carty anyway. Brennan very clearly thinks highly of him, but it was odd to only get a minute on the field last week. There's gotta be intent to motivate him by holding him back.

Yeah, I mentioned that yesterday. I think Griffin might have figured playing Kikau 80 minutes on that edge will help Maloney. Plenty of opportunities for TA's from Maloney to Kikau, just like last week.

No, I don't have JMK. That's why I'm wondering if it might be worth trading him in instead of Maloney, mainly for coin purposes so probably not worth it.

Yep, thanks.
Can't believe I overlooked that. Hopefully no one paid attention to me when I stated it was 15 and not that urgent to trade.
At least Gosiewski, Terepo, JFH or *gulp* Maloney will still be available before Carty locks out.

Carty is obviously not in the headspace for football, and hasn't been since 2016. He can be a good player, but you an tell he's kind of over it IMO.

Yeah with Kikau next to Maloney teams will not want to attack down that edge so less traffic = less defense = less missed tackles.

Cheers lads for the input. Macca was going to be my future captain.
Wouldn't know who to captain if I brought in DCE and Maloney

hey, I agree with you, haha.
What is everyone planning to do with Douehi? Just sit on him? If, and a big if, Reynolds strings some games together, Douehi's price is probably going to dive back to basement if he's getting 10 to 15 minutes off the bench. He will be just as urgent trade as Carty in a week or so unless you plan to just hold him and hope for another injury to Reynolds (likely).

Cam Murray looks like my captain choice this week. Should get 60-70 minutes with Surgess out. Playing a big Dragons pack that loves playing through the middle will have plenty of tackles. Bit of worry about missed tackles but going through Dragons opponents so far this year most of the fundamentally sound tacklers have ended up with 0,1 or 2 missed tackles which is not a big deal.

For me, it's down to Murray, Arrow or Ponga.

Whare on that side as well, who's a very good defensive centre.
However, I don't see how "traffic" in itself matters that much. 8 tackles and 4 misses scores the same as 16 tackles and 8 misses.

Woke up this morning
from the strangest dream
Turned on the app
Found Maloney in my team.
Now we are marching as one
on the road to the holy grail.
Lord have mercy on the underpants gnomes with Maloney on board
