Similar thinking to me, though I wouldn't hold him that long.StormTrooper96 wrote:
What is with all the hate from Isaako?? The kid looks really good. I am impressed with how he runs the ball and how safe he is under the high ball. Rumours of Jimmy and Birdy swapping sides might help his prospect. He is also next in line for the FB once Boyd hurts himself. I will keep him in my team unless his scores drop down to the tens. He is currently averaging more than inglis, with no tries (27.3). I think he will score big against Warriors this week.

For some reason I'm interested in Terepo, anyone know much about him?
Would probably trade Lodge
Why would you be interested in Terepo? 27 points last week, Alvaro who is a regular starter in the wings and Brown back in two weeks...

Hahaha, oh, ok, for a minute there I thought you were serious! I was like "good lord bloke, you're in a good possi rank wise, don't fuck it up now!".
I don't expect we'll get any news regarding Murray either tbh but that's ok for me as I don't have him.

My rank is playing on my mind. I have no idea what to do in this situation, do I try to improve? Or do I stick?

I've gone WHitehead to JFH but now I think I've left myself with too many midrangers.
SMith
Arrow TPJ
JFH Rochow RFM
MBye Maloney
Mitchell Kennar
Teddy Ponga Thompson
Cook Griffin Lodge Kikau
Murray Havilli Croker Isaako
Hmm...ah fuck it, I'll just roll with it I think. I'm tempted to actually play Isaako over Kennar for some reason.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 28
Gonna have to keep Murray personally, even if he's gone for four weeks. I've been trading aggressively to get to my final 17, and I don't want to take a setback and sideways trade a gun.
Think it'll be better for my overall score anyway. Focusing my cashies should let me get a cheap Cam Smith in the next two weeks for someone like Lodge. Moving Murray into a more expensive, comparable scorer would delay that plan.
Lets just hope I don't tank all my H2H games in the meantime.
If he's out for a month and you can use Murray to get a rising gun like Arrow or JFH, then that's appealing, but in my case I'd be looking at someone like Harris.

Mearcats wrote:Ok, so I have resisted the urge so far this season to post up my team and ask for a bit of advice but am currently stuck at a point of what to do this week. Am leaning very heavily towards just banking the two trades this week and running the same crowd but don't wanna lose any money on my cows cos I have some upgrades coming in.
Anyone that has a minute to have a squizz, would appreciate it.
Cook
Kapow Lodge
Arrow JFH RFM
Maloney DCE
Mitchell GI
Teddy Ponga Dugan
CS9 Kikau Thompson Kennar
JMK Doughy Chrichton (without a partial digit lost in Honeysetts bum) and Luai
264k ITB and 27 trades remaining.
Crichton and Luai were drunken last minute mistakes that I was unable to reverse due to being stuck on planes, nothing I can do about that now. I would really like to get rid of GI and bring King Guth in and am also looking at getting rid of Lodge and RFM in the coming weeks. My problem with doing the GI trade is that I was planning on using that money to shift Maloney out. I also have Doughy to content with.
Like I said, think I can get away with banking this week, just not sure if it's the smartest move.
Thoughts?
Well GI > Guth lets you put Maloney in EMG (Play Guth in the halves) and earn some cash.
Play Kennar at Centre & either JMK/Maloney as your 17th.
Maloney can be dealt with later - hopefully via a new cashie.
But yeah banking could be the go anyway...

My team is midrange city this week with Brown and Murray riding the pine. To be honest it doesn't look too bad even with those two out, but I'm preparing for plenty of 30s and mass disappointment.
Will run out as:
Smith (C)
Arrow, Rochow
JFH, RFM, Griffin
Niko, MaLOLney
Latrell, Inglis
Tedesco, Ponga, Mbye
R: Cook, Kikau, Lodge/JMK/Gosie/isaako (need to look at poophole set up)
Pine: Murray, Brown.

After chopping and changing I’ve settled on LCroker > JFH. Keeping Isaacko as a backup for at least another week. Also holding Griffin.
Cook (c)
TPJ Lodge
Harris Arrow Rochow
Koro Cronk
Hiku Kennar
Ponga Dufty JMK
Griffin RFM Kikau JFH
Havili Isaacko Murray Brown

If I don't make any trades this week I have to play one of Kennar, Havili or Isaako. Which do I choose?

Nice jag getting DCE's last 2 scores instead, but I'm sure you'd like to have SJ back to partner DCE at some point. Are you gonna waste 2 trades having traded him out and then back in some time if you can afford it?
Doesn't play 13 like Murray does. There was no indication of timeframe he could be out before the game and needed to cover the points he would lose, especially if he was going to be out longer. Everyone has stacked 2RF cover, most don't have 3 deep strong halves.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 28
I've been stuck with a problem the last couple of weeks of only having Doughy and DCE as my halves and little cash. I was holding off trading out CC's that hadn't fully peaked like lodge, RFM, Griffin but I think it needs to be done to get another half in.
Funnily enough, I was still a bit in the 2017 mentality of trading thinking I needed to trade doughy for another half as opposed to any other player into a half.
At the moment I'm looking at bringing in JFH for Lodge and trading either Murray or Dufty for Munster.
I don't really want to trade either but I have Thompson waiting in the wings for Dufty and I'll wait for an update on how long Murray's out for.

Gerard Beale Return
I keep hearing that “Gerard Beale is close to making his club debut” at the Warriors.
Given their hot run - who would make way for him?
Or does he just have to wait for an injury to the incumbants?

Nothing wrong with banking a few trades early. You'll need them come the byes

Potentially for Kata or as a utility.

Mmmm, really nice analysis Cap and I hadn't rearranged my team to look at it this way! I'm well convinced Gi is a trade, have been for a few weeks, just procrastinated a little to long and now the money gap is an annoying number for me. I'm keen on holding Dugan due to the uncertainty regarding positions at Cronulla (would only take one average game from three different players for Moylan to get shifted at this point in time) and Dugan has shown while at the Dragons he can still score well from CTR. Whether he does in a different team or not is an entirely different kettle of fish but I'll hold for now.
I would love to bring Fifita in but think it may have to wait a few weeks. Holmes is a definite no for me and Gosi is a wait and see. I'm with the group here that hasn't seen anything out of him to make me inclined to get him.
Based on your willingness to keep Doueihi and Dugan who may find themselves in better fantasy places with a few performances going their way (don't mind your logic or willingness - both don't have much to lose this week) why not turf Inglis to build up a superbank?
Also Holmes is my trade in this week based on the fact he plays 13, has talent, job security and should rebound from a few early dud scores. Will be in my EMG and hopefully ride a big game or two that he is capable of to just above his starting price (~250k from here). Also there aren't any other real cash out options I like (also will wait and see on Gosie, JMK is a game away from being out, have most of the other low price guys Nichols, Hiku, Isaako, Kennar etc.).
It's a little optimistic but I'd be interested to know why he's a no go for you?

I expect he'll take Gelling's role on the bench. He can cover anywhere 1-5 so that would make sense.
