I know he’s scored a couple try’s recently, but tbf his base stats are unrealWT Winfield wrote:
Great pick-up. Also if you got him this week and especially last week, it's going to be hard for him to not average 50 for you guys.
Getting him now that he's priced at a 50 average could piss a lot of people off if he only averaged 45ish from now on due to lack of tries or being moved to CTR for injuries, while cheaper options like Pearce, Munster, Mbye etc. may average better for cheaper.

Yep 35 tackles a game and 80 RM prior to last night, so an easy 43 there. I talked a friend into getting Matts and putting off SJ for another week.
Regretting not getting him myself and putting Munster off, but will see how that goes and if I get Pearce instead next week.

I would go JMK. Give Sua a week to see how he goes as a starter. Both have similar breakevens.

Although we knew it, seems RFM has secured his role and 80 minutes. Seems like a hold for those looking to rush him off for JFH. Lodge or Griffin probably the ones to make way. RFM could be just getting going.
RFM can easily pull out a 60+ point game, I feel like he is one of those players where if he gets more involved he could even go 70-80+. He does have a low basement but he is only 1 or 2 games away from another big one and some price rises.

I was hoping for ~180 from my first 4 - Cook, Teddy, Mitchell and Nicholls. Nice to be a little bit ahead of plan.
Just Smith (c), Ponga and Griffin tonight.

Who did you trade Murray to? Makes me feel better for trading him too. I went Murray to Smith but meant i took captaincy off cook.
That's definitely not my current team. Emergencies must look all out of whack. Also, I traded Murray out.

Just Smith (c), Ponga and Griffin tonight.
143 from 3 so far - Cook, Mitchell and Kennar (stupid late swap for havili)
still an average of about 48 per player which is good.
Tonight I only have Smith (c), Ponga and Jacks. I hate games where I have no one playing (Sharks v Dragons)

I've watched him last 2 and I'm not seeing it. Reminds me of Taupau playing on edges but less destructive and without the same offload threat

That's the conundrum. Points V Dollars as I find myself in a pretty unique situation with that bank, which in turn means I can follow a different strategy to most.
I'm actually happy to fall back points wise a bit to be honest if I have the bank to upgrade to Guns once we know who they are this season. The down side is if I don't pick up predicted guns now then I just pay more for them later hence circumventing the big bank. If that makes sense?
I think you've got to think of dollars in terms of points per week. Making an extra $15,000 allows you to upgrade to an extra 1 point per week from when you upgrade. So if you're holding JMK and assuming you make $150k over the next, say 3-4 weeks, it means you can upgrade to an extra 10 points per week over the last 15 rounds. So you gain an extra 150 points over the season. The trade-off is that you're missing the points now. Instead of holding JMK, you could own say DCE and get an extra 30 points per week over the next 4 weeks instead of the extra cash. So it's about 120 points you're giving up to get an extra 150 later in the season. That's the type of trade-off we're always making. I think you mentioned your bank may be up to around $1mill - so you're giving up 65 points per week while you're holding that cash. You'd need to be really confident that you're cows are fattening up quickly to gain back those lost points.
One year, I should make a team entirely of cows and just go extreme on makin money to target the points later. The limitations on trades may also be a factor with that strategy though.

Just Smith (c), Ponga and Griffin tonight.
Mitchell looked really good last night. Just wish Keary would give him more early ball.

I was really close to trading him out earlier in the season. So lucky to hold him

Not passing to the ground or over the sideline would be a good start.

Don't forget to avoid passing to the other team as well. Believe there was a streak of ground, int(Kennar), int(Kennar), ground, ground or something similar late in a 10 minute period in the 2nd half with the game still close.

This year that would have worked out OK.
Tonnes of cows and midrangers, with a couple of guns (as long as you picked the right cows and middies)
I'm not sure we'll get so many cheapies perform so well in the first month of the comp next year.
