I already traded Widdop to Matterson but haven't made my second trade which is planned to be Griffin > Taumalolo. If Levi is dropped, do I make that trade or hold? Arghhhhhh.

Depends if you want Griffin or Taumalolo in your team this week.

How shit is the footy show now. What the fuck did they do to it. I used to love staying up late to watch the delayed showing of it since it's not live here but I'm not even motivated to anymore. Getting rid of Fatty was such a rubbish decision.

Obviously Taumalolo but it makes the trade a bit harder knowing Griffin could play more minutes than usual.

I'm not convinced of Taumalolo yet. Close to bringing him in this week but reversed it this afternoon.

Lodge to Rein is also tempting. That trade would leave me with 379k in the bank to upgrade Griffin next week to Taumalolo to see if Lolo has another big game.

Or do you think he’ll get out of this slump?

Has to get out of this slump doesn’t he? He was 50+ first 3 matches even though hasn’t played 80 all year Friend. Closest he got was 77mins (for 70pts) and today 30pts from 43mins.

Interesting today when radley came on he stayed on, so friend would have been 80mins today if not for injury. There’s no way friend only gets 30pts if he can start putting some 80mins together

Based on what we know about all of his history his 36 in 72mins is real outlier performance so as soon as I get an inkling He is 80mins again he’s in my team at that price

I would have expected Radley would have moved to hooker in the 2nd half if Friend didnt get injured.

Sauce on the Levi stuff? I'm going to be pissed because it hurt to trade Griffin out this week. If Levi is out definitely hold Griffin he could become like Havili'i, and considering many blokes would have traded him last week and this week makes things even better.

@mattnz said something earlier this evening about it being mentioned on a FB live feed to do with SC. Someone else chimed in and said it was being talked about on a Knights forum.

Knights forum talking about it >>> http://www.marathonstadium.com/threads/round-7-newcastle-knights-vs-wests-tigers.16342/page-11

    Article confirming it >>> https://www.theherald.com.au/story/5353862/levi-dumped-for-wests-tigers-clash/?cs=306

The worry is Buhrer will probably relieve Griffin at hooker at some stage. Griffin has only played under 60 minutes once this season and has played 80 on three occasions. This is the first time the Knights bench hasn't had Lamb/Levi on it I'm pretty sure so it's a bit of an unknown if Brown intends to play Buhrer at hooker for a part of the game. Even if he does, will Griffin come off or go to lock. Who knows...

Thanks for the confirmation, likely just make 1 trade instead of 2 this week now. Griffin should be good for a few more rises now and plays 13. Smile

Worst case scenario is Griffin scores 30 points an loses 15k while Taumalolo hits 80 points and gains 47k. Which would mean you lose out big time cash wise.

That is $63k bet to potentially save a trade. Which I would be willing considering Taumalolo has hit over 60 only twice this year and Griffin could easily hit his BE if he gets a load of minutes. If money is too tight for you maybe just pull the trigger.[/quote]

If I trade Lodge to Rein I can basically afford anyone next week for Griffin if Levi is potentially back. Something to think about today...

For me personally I chose not to bring in Rein just airing on the side of caution as just unsure about Peats concern. It comes down to if you think you get a solid 4 weeks from Rein. If you think you make enough cash then save yourself a trade potentially and wait on Taumalolo. If Taumalolo hits 40 or below (He has done that three times this year.) He loses cash still. Albeit a little.

The more I look at it, the more I would say hold Griffin because of his potential upside, and getting a look at which gun you want. I'm not sold on Rein, if it gives you options it might be a good idea though.

i can tell this is going to be a bad week for me trade wise.
If i acted earlier i could have used mbye in place of niko and saved a trade, but instead im going to need to trade Griffin just to get a good half.

Aside from a try assisted 60-odd, griffin hasn't exactly set the place on fire. Solid for the price - yes, but he has peaked. Out of the normal cashies, he's got less to make. i still think lodge will make his BE and be useful enough in FRF.

    Griffin > Rein
    Knik > Api

Api has been lucky to get consistently close to 80 minutes. With the Hastings news though it could mean he is more likely to get it. I don't think he will be a keeper though, but he plays round 13 so is solid enough. I just think making two trades for players you will have to trade out again soon is a bit much.

However you need a second half so yeah, makes up for it.
