Hoping for starting/significant bench role for the next 3-4 weeks while Lewis is out, then some sort of bench role or out completely, and another start in rd 13.

After that trade him out, unless circumstances change in the meantime that would see him continue with a prominent role.

Potentially Bukuya who is making a return this week via the bench.

I agree with some previous comments on this that Bukuya is a middle forward. Capewell would be more of a concern, but he has more bench utility value.

FWIW I think Sorenson will be in + out of the team all year, especially over Origin. Can see him being a sell around round 17ish when all the byes are done

Its seems you have to be holier than thou to be able to comment on fantasy scoring...

What about Welch.. gets a gangbusters 79 and his score doesnt budge ! Spot on perhaps ?? Hehe... or greedy?

Yeah, he passed the training test and is good to go... probably not likely to play 80

Might work better if he doesn't play 80. He was on 35 at 65 minutes into the game and then started going backwards and ended up at 23

Hearing McGuire is out for 3-4 weeks minimum. Not only does this bring a cashie into the mix for the broncos, but it also means QLD are most likely not going to pick him for game one.

Glad I kept TPJ. Could see some solid 45-50 point scores over the coming weeks.

Who goes to hooker? Niko for 80? Someone from Ressies? I am very glad I kept TPJ. Would be awesome if he can become a 55-60 minutes Lock!

So with Macca & McGuire both out who is going to step up in defense. They'll need someone who is a tackling machine but I don't think they have anyone like that. Maybe Su'a to share lock with TPJ.

Thaiday to start with Niko taking over? They've done that before

Broncos trialled Todd Murphy a bit so maybe he comes in on the bench. I think we are stuffed for hooker. Wouldn’t be surprised if TPJ plays the first 20 there or even Bird.

Bird and Niko could switch during the game.

Watched an interview with Thaiday after last nights game and he was asked if he would spend time at hooker and he responded with "Absolutely no way"

Thaiday played the worst 20 minutes at hooker I've ever seen in round 1 or 2 whatever it was, no way he plays there.

Broncos confident Josh McGuire hasn’t suffered another Achilles injury. Likely high ankle sprain. He’s having scans now. Should know for sure this afternoon. Via Chris Garry
