Re: NRL Fantasy 2018 Thread Part 37
I watched an interview of Taupau where he said he wanted to be the best Prop in the game. He's cut out a lot of his penalties but it is concerning he makes 1-2 errors per game. I have seen his passion lately and I would tip him to maintain a high average IF he gets bigger minutes. Hard to see because Manly's rotation changes week to week.
I missed the deal with Morgan moving to FB. What's the go there? Coote isn't on the Zero Tackle injury list..

Is there any way to easily see a "team match stats" comparison and average?
Eg A match had a total of XXX tackles, this was highest number of tackles in a match for the season, compared to average of YYY tackles per game. etc

They have had Gideon on the cusp of NRL for years now. I think now is the time to get him in. Bleed him, plus he has this spark about him. Just so quick and flashy, could really make something out of nothing.
I am expecting some changes from Paul Greens side this week

Not that I've seen but it would be handy considering how often we do it anecdotally.my tv broke wrote:Is there any way to easily see a "team match stats" comparison and average?

Just based on fantasy stats for rounds as a whole, round 8 was the most tackles recorded in a round this season, by a decent margin. By the same token, by far the least penalties. Refs put the whistle away/teams have adjusted their discipline, and i suppose we got more ball in play.

Also players match fitness is much higher by round 8 so not as many missed tackles & players thinking better under stress so not as many penalties. I've also noticed the refs are letting things go that they were penalising in the early rounds like the play the ball.

Here is my team before trades this week with 59k bank:
Cook
Arrow Fifita
Murray RFM JFH
SJ Maloney
Cotric Mitchell
Tedesco Ponga Thompson
Smith TPJ Rein Kikau
Havili Cogger Isaako Katoa
Moved up to rank 406 after my best round of the season so far scoring 944.
22 trades left and can't see anything urgent this week so I think my best move would be to bank the 2 trades. Everyone agree?

i assume that was why BE projections were off by about $5k across the board

Rounds 1-4 were also really low scoring. Round 4 was the lowest scoring fantasy round since fanhub came in.
Refs crackdown, match fitness, etc took a bit longer to settle down this year than normal.

7 games Rd 8-16
67 64 89 42 79 59 50 then 3 low 30s 47 and everything else 50 or above.
If that's disappointing I'll take it

It's listed here under team stats.

Not sure how easy it is to collate all data for the season, but the data is there

I guess what people are referring to with regards to Taupau last year is that during that boom period he was averaging ~65 but then in the later period he slumped to ~46.
Given that you'd be buying him at ~50 points anything less (like you;ve highlighted form last year) would surely be a disappointment.

if hastings (267k) gets named, would you pick him over cogger (282k)?
im tempted cos he shows up in the red zone, but he might be told by barrett to rein it in and stay out of the way

I'm leaning towards Cogger, he had some solid basestats on the weekend, I'm sure he'll get a few attacking stats in games to come.
for me there are too many question marks over Hastings job security
