I'm wary of running Arrow next week if he's in as much pain as it looked like. Probably play TPJ over him next week.

Lolohea needs to slot back into that backline (rumoured to be back next week). Hard to see Founa staying in the squad over Thompson or MWZ or Nofoaluma.
Hopefully TLT helps us figure that out
Yeah, hence why I brought in Cogger this week
If it looks that way I might as well hold Thompson for Rd 13 and do JMK>Martin, Maloney>almost anyone.
Current Rd 13 lineup:
Cook*
Fifita,
Lolo, Murray, Gosie*
Matterson, Townsend
Latrell*, Aubs
Teddy*, Ponga*, Calker
Thompson, Cogger*
That's 14 who's team are playing that week, but likely to lose at least 3-4 to origin/injury/dropped. Definitely keen to field a minimum of 13.

Maloney has probably peaked but he might get the BBQ started next week against the knoghts for one final salute to the fantasy world
Then he'll be close to a direct swap for Cleary lol

618/12 incl. (c) - Smith, Jurbo, DCE, Mitchell & Tedesco to play. Hopefully 1 of them does a Fifita so I can crack 900.

Anybody have the skinny on Graham or hammy injuries in general? Does him reinjuring that put him back a few weeks now? If Capewell can grab even three games starting he will make 150k in the centres and be a straight swap for an elite centre by the end of it. Might even have to forgo my juicy Areyn trade for that. Lawton probably even better but Kearny says Luke might be okay and a notoriously fast healer anyway

My trades the last 2 weeks have been horrid. Marsters, Soro and Coggar.
No matter how shit my team is doing this week I might not trade next week just to try and avoid this disappointment I am feeling right now. 22 trades and wanted to have 20 at round 13, but not going to happen.

Is Arrow worth holding considering the regular back complaints, this new rib injury and his bye coverage? Very tempted to just straight trade him to Fifita next week even if he is named

That game is why I'm terrified of not owning Fifita. Not many players in the game are capable of a 90+ with no tries

Nice season lows for Crichton and Thompson after I talked them up a bit Crichton probably a great price once Rd 13 gets closer.
My trade-ins Martin and Rapana worked out alright though.
Was penning in Isaako to Cotric next week, with about 450k leftover to bring in another gun somewhere.
Hiku to Capewell starting to cross my mind now too with Sorenson and WGraham looking busted. Bukuya too during the week.
Will hinge on Arrow's status though, as Taumalolo becomes an affordable option if Arrow needs to go.

Marsters you traded in as a season keeper. I wouldn't be worried about one score of 28. It's not like it was abysmal and if he turns around and gets 50 next week all the owners are back to claiming they are geniuses within a 1 week turnaround. No centre in the game will hit 40+ week in week out.
I think he is. Before that game he had a 5 game average of 68.2. It's not like we are talking about an easily replaceable position. Like Brown is injured and you can just put in a JTrbo or Matterson and fill the gap. The reality is that when Arrow is fit, nobody can produce the scores he has been in the FRF. Fifita comes close, but then absolute daylight. I think he is a special case where he is just that valuable he is worth the risk of holding. Imagine how you will feel if you sell and he starts busting out consistent 70s. Everybody was on his dick when he scored 99 not that long ago- surely that kind of scoring earns him even a weeks reprieve, even if he just sits in emergencies or loopdyloop.Enchanted Glossy Flamingo wrote:Is Arrow worth holding considering the regular back complaints, this new rib injury and his bye coverage? Exactly this. He threatened to do it in round 6 before he got injured, so I felt like it was always coming. When he got injured I didn't have him and I felt like it was a gift from the fantasy gods, so i brought him in straight away. A very dangerous player not to have in your squad.multiple.scoregasms wrote:That game is why I'm terrified of not owning Fifita. Not many players in the game are capable of a 90+ with no tries

At this stage (assuming its a week-to-week pain management issue) I don't think there is going to be one answer to that and will be slightly different for everyone based on their circumstances.Enchanted Glossy Flamingo wrote:Is Arrow worth holding considering the regular back complaints, this new rib injury and his bye coverage? For me, I'm going to wait for more info on nature of injury, but he is a proven gun in a position with very little alternatives and I'm more than inclined to hold.

That said, I really do hope everybody trades Arrow out.
Imagine the advantage if Arrow was a POD!

NRL PHYSIO [ltr]@nrlphysio[/ltr]
More[/size]
Relieving news on Jai Arrow, has been cleared of internal organ injury & diagnosed with a rib contusion (front on collision caused rib cage to shift, causing distress to organs) from yesterday’s game. Possible he plays next week, need to see how it settles. Most return in 1-3 wks

603 cap.played with Smith, Matterson, JTurbo, Mitchell, Tedesco and the mighty AUBBS to follow. The first 5 may have to take up the slack for Aubbs to get me over the 900 mark.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 39
Should have traded RTS for Thompson this week, instead banked the trade...
Not sure what to do with Arrow, hopefully it's only a couple weeks. A rib injury can drag on though. Also Have SJ in the same boat, hearing mixed news on that. Holmes had a 20+ play which got cancelled for a minor obstruction which bloody hurt!! 29 is OK though and he looked pretty good (he's an EMG for me who I played this week).
Luke apparently had a dislocation which popped in quick, so might not miss many games if any. If Lawton was a must have would make my trades even harder this week.
Hopefully either Arrow or SJ are minor injuries and I can hold one. I'd suspect not though.. Will probably go Arrow to Fifi, and Nicholls or Thompson to RTS.

20 by round 13? I was looking at 16/17... I don't think you need 20, depending how your team is set.

Arrow looks like Fensom in his heyday, fearless and goes where others fear to tread. However the toll on his body will mount as that is his style of play.
I am holding at this stage as I have Gossy, Soro and Kennar to worry about. You know its desperate times when you get Aubbs in for Croker.
