I didn't want to stump up for Kapow but it looks like that is what I'm going to do. My frugal accounting brain is struggling to accept it Very Happy

My bench looks a bit iffy this week. I need some scoots from Brimson, good (busy) minutes for Murray and Surgess to get his arse into gear. Smith will bang out a 70 to sure this up (hopefully)

Captain Cook locked in. No amount of beers will change it this week. Sorry Teddy (so tempting!)

Isn't that how you get DPP by being named to start in a position other than the one you are listed in for a certain number of weeks ?

I thought the certain number of weeks aspect was changed to include what position the person will be playing in going forward so they didn't have to update DPPs each round.

Every chance I may be mistaken however lol

2: In regards to Harris, I want him too but don't forget Kearney has said all of the Warriors who play in the Denver test wont be playing against the Sharks in R16 (Think its R16?) So really if you buy Harris now, he is playing for 3 weeks of the next 5 rounds.

    1. Are you going to tell us who the player is? And can you tell me why I seem to care about a POD in the worst position possible who by your own account was mediocre? Well I have a super secret POD centre too... it's um...uh.... Tim Lafai!.... yeah, you jealous of my super POD averaging 34? Don't tell anyone! Razz

    2. The NZ v Sharks game is 6 days after the Denver test. If Kearney holds them back it would have to be from some weird spiteful reason. I think they will play.

Now 379k itb, next week is going to be fun shopping with this kick starter plus 4 trades. I dont plan on taking the safe passage.

What is the job security of Hetherington looking like at the moment?

Might just bring in Fonua this week. Give Guth a week to see how things are going with him and whether it's considered permanent

My trades this week would be so simple if not for the MCK temptation.
I think I just need to pretend it isn't happening and Rochow will definitely be back next week, 100%

Rein > Dugan (Or will it be MCK? jocolor )
    Croker > Fonua

Fonua is not even for the 17, but I see him as a perfect candidate for my final team WFB/CTR (assuming he gets DPP) cover, whereas my current cover Isaako is not so great.

Why do you see Fonua any better than Isaako or Hiku? Apart from the cash difference?

Hard runner, good defender, offloads, tackle breaks.

Kearney saying any Kiwis playing in Denver, wont be considered for the game vs Sharks.

I get the appeal. I mean ive had him since before his first game. I hope the faith everyone has in him is repaid. But im yet to be convinced he is anywhere near final team material. Is he even the first choice ctr/winger for the tigers?

Well for Hiku he is 130k cheaper. If I had Hiku I would absolutely keep him as my cover, but I don't.
Isaako had a great last 3 weeks but still averaging 32 points, I think Fonua can do better, probably with less variance between a 17 floor and 59 ceiling, and I am a sucker for reliable consistency.

Think they are talking about using Fonua as basically an 18th man cashout
He is about 100k more than a bottom priced cashout (but if you need him to fill in for 1 week it wouldn’t be end of the world).

If you are low on trades he may be a good option for some

So the bloke who can't count TB's is now taking a punt on where the coach will play a guy in the future based on the other 20 odd rostered players and their position, taking into account the possibility of them also being DPP despite never being named in the position and also injuries to players in that roster. Not to mention whether players have signed for another club the following year and how that may impact how the coach uses them.

That's easier that changing it after a player has actually been named and played a position. Totally get it.
