It's pretty hard trying to separate Taumalolo & A. Crichton. In these cases I always go for the lower b/e so Crichton b/e 47 v Taumalolo b/e 67. You could buy Taumalolo next week because chances are he'll be cheaper.
I would actually go Kikau to Crichton because I predict:
Kikau will lose cash this week
JFH will make cash
Taumalolo will lose cash
A. Crichton will make cash

hymenbustas wrote:Thompson has an average of 46 playing at wings compared to 31 at fullback. Obviously he needs tries to maintain that average but I'd say most of the attack will be going down his side so he'll get alot of ball time. Fonua + Thompson could be this years Leipana
Milchcow wrote:
That's a very small sample size you are using. I'd be surprised if he maintains a 45 average on the wing.
Would be nice - only really has 2 games left in a lot of people's teams, so if he can just perform for 2 weeks everyone will be happy
White Lightning wrote:
I was pretty happy when I saw Thompson on the wing on TLT. At f/b he runs around like a headless chook & no one passes him the ball & there's no plan to get him involved. He gets much more ball on the wing plus when he runs it out of his own half he gets tb's.
I also think Thompson on the wing might not be a bad thing

and JT is owned by 40%, so honestly not a bad idea. Thank you for the help

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 46
I've got a little bit of buyers remorse on Crichton. I would actually trade in Taumalolo if I had to choose this week.
Wanted Crichton three weeks ago but decided to pass, and he scored 35. Was happy with that, then he went gangbusters with his 94, and I got all excited (as did many). Back to a fairly standard 41 last week. Five of his last six scores have been under 50, and I'm worried that might be his norm for this season. Fingers crossed for a good score this week.

Yep I got Crichton last week & I have to admit his 41 disappointed me but 2-3 times he was so close to making a big points play but JT just hung on enough. I'm buoyed by the fact that he's up against the Warriors this week.

Doesn't he lead the league in decoy runs?

Sort of depends on how they fit into your team as those three are all a little different imo. On face value I'd probably go Fonua and Harris, but personally I am bringing in Hipgrave this week as it allows me to get Taupau (still torn on spending so big there). I already have Fonua, but don't have Harris.
Hipgrave's risk is holding the starting 2rf. He played right edge last week but will be on the left this week. James was supposedly considered an edge forward all pre-season by Brennan, who knows if he'll go back to that in a week or two.
Hipgrave did say on the titans site - "I trained a lot in the back row during the pre-season so it's nothing to me now." - which might point to him staying there longer term, but who knows.

You can definitely wait a week on Hipgrave though, since he doesn't play 13, and you would still make bulk cash if you didn't get him until 14 (obviously if he is named to start 2rf again in rnd 14).

So Crichton leads the league in decoy runs yet he averages 52.9. He'd average over 55 if they actually passed him the ball.

I brought in Crichton and Reynolds last week and was left pretty deflated. However Crichtong look good and almost got through a few times. Although, that game was just a really starnge and low scoring fantasy game all round (bar Cook) so I'm not too worried yet.

As a Thompson owner that would certainly make me sing.
And maybe then I could buy a diamond ring.
Or a chicken wing.
Zing.
Sorry everyone.
