Actually, might need to do a double downgrade of Doueihi and Fonua next week to get the coin for Coggar to SJ the next week. Things getting tight, I might have to skip McInnes and geta cheaper option. Although 13 trades, can afford to do a swap for swap between 17 and 18 if I want.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 55
I have a back five of Marsters, Mitchell, Teddy, Ponga and MBye, but since Coggar is my second half, MBye was sitting up there this week with Fonua in the starting lineup. If I get SJ next week though I can sit on Fonua until 17 if need be. Bugger for him that his season looks over.

540 is not even in the top 45 of this site alone mate, where most have already got their lineups set and most others are just looking for PODs to get their rankings upLoomer wrote:Very confident of improving on my 540th rank with 12 trades left and some of the spuds you lot are talking of trading in. With teams so similar nothing wrong with gambling on PODs especially those playing R17

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 55
I really like Atiken at his current price point, has shown the ability to be the top scoring CTR this season and previously, scores decent enough without out tries because he is busy and a good defender, I'd question if you truly need him with Isaako and Mitchell already in your teamdanseels1985 wrote:TPJ to Aitken,RTS or Hoppa? Any real reason why Gagai and his fantasy scores are suffering this year?

@welshy at this point I think I will cash out Isaako after round 17 for upgrades to Sua/Brimson etc. Not a wise move?

That's a fair enough call if you have the trades, nothing much wrong with running Isaako as a final 17 CTR option though where the points differential will be negligibledanseels1985 wrote:@welshy at this point I think I will cash out Isaako after round 17 for upgrades to Sua/Brimson etc. Not a wise move?
Looking at your team mate, I'd be more inclined to keep Isaako, downgrade Sua after 17 and turn TPJ into Taupau, then maybe look at downgrading Brimson and turning Isaako into Marsters to complete your top 17 which only potentially needs a Mbye - TTurbo upgrade to be one of the most potent I have seen.
Good crack mate

Yeah that’s true. If the roosters are going to shift the ball like they did though then he’s in for some big scores.

If Joe Stimson keeps that edge roll he is a must! AVG 42.8 in 5 games playing 60 minutes or more. Will wait for TLT

This post got me thinking.
Firstly I think your surprise in the players that some fantasy coaches are interested in is a product of how many trades you currently have left. My guess is you are still in a position where you are trying to fill your team full of guns, whereas many of the people (myself included) that are interested in guys like Holland effectively have our final 17/18/19 already sorted. A Holland type player, as I've posted already, serves several very important purposes for my team, but my team is in a very much different state to yours (I suspect) and hence why you see no value in him (or others similar). Im hypothesising obviously, cause I don't know what your team looks like, but the point is that players that people are interested in is a product of where their team currently sits.
On a different level, your post got me thinking about trades saved vs trades used and how that translates into current and future ranking.
Im wondering if I could do a little bit of a data gathering exercise and some subsequent analysis come the end of the season. I'd love to get as many of the fantasy fanatics ranks and trades left, now, and then at the end of the season (and perhaps one more time after round 18 or something).
Would you guys kindly share that info with me?
To start with, prior to trading for round 16, I have:
Loomer: 540 and 12
R&T: 28 and 4
Please reply (and quote the relevant parts) and add your details. I'll do some basic analysis and share the results come end of season for anyone interested. The hypothesis is that, for this season at least, the aggressiveness of peoples trading strategies will correlate with current and future rankings.
