Agreed - I think of few of us might need Brimson to step up

jetlag and tiredness from the flights will come into play if he's not back til Thursday.
If he plays, he won't be at 100%.
I certainly wouldn't be captaining him.

Even Taupau at 80% will outscore most players that are at 100% although he may not get the minutes this week to back up my theory. I agree though re the captaincy.

I'm thinking with RFM & Fonua facing time out injured I may as well use 2 trades to get McInnes. If Mary decides to rest his origin & rep players then McInnes will be the senior forward & it will be up to him to lead from the front which will be tackling anything that moves.

Thanks, I'll have more of a think.....
FYI - this was my team for round 1
Smith
TKO Lodge
Jurbo Brown RFM
DCE Carty
Mitchell Isaako
Tedesco Ponga Katoa
Cook Kikau Nicholls Griffin
Kennar Havili Godinet Croker
Some shockers...
Cheers for that. Just be very careful of the Farah thing. He has a low BE and may well play 80 this week (watch team lists later) but eventually he will be sharing minutes, and of course he doesn't play round 17.... but you knew that.

Lachlan Lewis has come into the bulldogs top 30 so that he can make his debut this weekend
He averages 37 in NSW Cup (8/14 games at halfback, the other 6 at centre)
If you need a round 17 cashout, I think you could do a lot worse than him

Are we still guessing with the Panthers halves or has anything concrete been mentioned about Luai?Milchcow wrote:

Well Lewis will probably be in for the long haul, and whoever the panthers pick will be 1 game and out (barring injury)
So unless you want a red dot for looping, Lewis is more likely to be the better play

not huge on the fantasy side of things but in ressies, lewis team mates are a solid top 8 contending team. in FG, his team mates score 1 try every 2 games, surely this lowers his potential output ?
as a dogs fan, i really like the way lewis has played is ressies this year but i can't see him him being able to create much in the way of try or line break assist etc with the way our team is going.

Wait so who is he replacing? I thought the spine would be Hoppa, JMK, Frawley and Lichaa?

my guess is frawley but it could be JMK or lichaa too (with jmk playing 9)
i would say all of frawley, JMK & lichaa are likely to end up spending some time in ressies over the next month or so

there is a few reports in the media thats woods has also taken a pay cut
basically sound slike sharks and dogs stalled on how much dogs would still pay but woods taking a pay cut has seemingly closed the gap enough
i struggle to see how the NRL would allow that, I was under the impression from every other player transfer that's ever occurred in the NRL that a player has to be payed what they are owed from their original contract.

I think JMK would be safe and it would be Frawley or Lichaa getting the boot.

Frawley got the boot earlier for not being any worse then anyone else so my bet is him.Milchcow wrote:

Lichaa has to be 1 of the flops of the season. He had a prime opportunity to be a big minute hooker & things looked very promising at the end of last season with the way he was playing. I don't know what happened this year but he has ended up regressing.

Whatever happened to the running game the he said Des wouldn't let him use? He's lucky to be in first grade I reckon.White Lightning wrote:Lichaa has to be 1 of the flops of the season.
