Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 56
It's times like this that I really wish I could tell myself to fuck the byes, but I just can't go into next week with like 3 or 4 players, I just can't face that.

I can get Croker this week for Fitzgibbon which is made easier by Martins return. Also nets me 190k
Sets my CTRs as Aitken/Croker with Tuala as back up.
Next week I would look at a way to bring in SJ using Fonua and WGraham.
It's a tough one. Time of year where compromises have to be made for most people. You have several options, so just use your gut on which one will work out best, and watch the guy you trade in this week get injured.
For what its worth my trades this week were Fonua + Dugan to Farah + Aitken
I want to bring in SJ next week, but would probably need to ditch JFH to do it (or maybe sacrifice Cleary). Will it be worth losing a R17 scorer to bring in SJ?
If fit he's easily the best scoring half, so that is my dilemma for after this round.

Six players and I'm freaking out, who knows how many of those six will make it another week at this rate.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 56
Original plan was
This week:
Fitz/Fonua > SJ/Holland
Next week:
WGraham > Gun CTR
After doing the maths I will be only able to afford a CTR at 500k so would have to make another downgrade. So 4 trades all up. Also I'll have Holland, Tuala, Brimson in my emergencies covering the back line.
Basically Holland isn't nescessary to my team.
If I just grab a Croker/Hoppo this week. Then I can go Fonua/Graham next week to SJ/cow and save a trade in the process. Leaves Brimson and Tuala as my cover.
Helps so much to think it out with your guys advice as a guide.

I like the 2nd option
Grab a gun CTR now - SJ's BE is high enough that he is unlikely to rocket up in price this week. It gives you a week to make sure he is fully fit as well (he hasn't played 3 consecutive rounds since the first 3 weeks of the season)
Also means you can get your pick of the R17 cashouts/cows after seeing team lists.

Kind of reassuring someone else still has JFH haha. He needs to go but same, I think holding him this long, it's worth keeping him for next week. Again, SJ is an upgrade whichever way you look at it, and JFH won't get any extra minutes as none of their players will be on rep duty, so that is a dilemma to upgrade him next week or not. Especially if you have no one else to upgrade to him. For me, with two downgrades this week, then another Doueihi downgrade next week, I hopefully should have enough to turn Coggar into SJ while keeping JFH (and Griffin who I know people would say I'm crazy for still having around but I rate him and his average over his last few games has been solid enough.) This week is testing though and I haven't even had a single player play yet. My Fonua to Mann trade last night is making me freak out a little and feel all my plans will come crumbling down.

Realising that Holland bloats my EMG makes it an easy decision.
Now I just need to decide on the best CTR.

Odds are that one of my starters will get injured this round, and I can swap them for SJ.
I've only really kept JFH around for R17, he's 19th man at this point. But if I do trade him for SJ then no point waiting until after R17 to do it.

Trying to decide whether to play Mbye or Gurgess. New club worries me with Mbye.

True mate. He's my 19th man also at this point. Not the worst 19th man though, so much potential and if his average was a bit higher, I'd almost just keep him there.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 56
If TPJ is out I’ll have to trade him to Martin yeah? With no bank it makes sense. Or just bring in a CTR so I can finally move Isaako to my EMG? Would be thinking Cotric or Hoppa

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 56
Yes but Martin will be a lot more expensive if I don’t do it now. TPJ has a high BE as it is and he is only going to lose value from here I think. I don’t know,my way of thinking is grab Martin(who I wouldn’t have sold if I knew Woods was leaving) for 120k cheaper and if Olive doesn’t play next week he becomes Fainu/Lewis etc so that gives me 200k odd bank to upgrade Sua as well. Ride Martin for a few weeks and then he becomes Aitken/Marsters. Does this sound like a good plan?

Yeah they had to sign someone to back-up Cook if they want a shot at the title and McIlwrick has always had a lot of promise.
Club smart enough not to think that Jason Clark or Cam Murray were going to be capable back-up hookers like some on here were suggesting.

Sounds like you have it sorted in your head mate so go for it. Martin Im hoping keeps the spot now and can be a keeper. If I sold him, I would probably get him back this week too.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 56
Or I could just go TPJ to Martin and Olive to Fainu now which will leave me 7 trades and 223k bank and this team
Cook
Fifita Arrow
Taumalolo Jurbo Harris
DCE ARey
Mitchell Isaako
Tedesco Ponga Mbye
Smith
McInnes
Brown
Martin
Sua
Hetherington
Fainu

Thoughts?
