I think the difference between 25 v 21 man squads is with the 21 man squad it's important that all 21 players are playing. No longer can you carry 2-4 players that have long term injuries i.e. more than 3 weeks out or who are nuffs. With the smaller squad size making money is more crucial so all 21 players need to be making money. In the 25 man squads you had much more leeway & there was less risk in having players out.

I prefer the 21 man squad. I'm 16% less stessed

Injuries happen every year. Lots of them. We’re about to see some carnage now from the top teams who traded every week. They’ll be coming right back to the field. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a team that is outside the top 500 now, win this. I’m having a shithouse year, but I like the new format and will enjoy watching it pan out. All those luxury trades earlier in the year will bite some bums.

Nice score from Papalli Jnr. I expect to see those for the rest of the year, particularly with Harris and Afoa gone for a while.

So what is the cutoff for trading Tohu?

3 weeks I'm thinking. Last 2 years have both been killer for bye planning though. So many 'bye' players failing to deliver.

I agree that with the smaller squads more trades is a good idea. Even if they offer you extra trades for like 40 points a trade or something, I think that would be a good idea.
Can't give too many trades though or everyone's teams will be even more similar for the run home

If you assume that rolling lockout is there to keep people clicking on the site, then I don't see why they can't give more trades to keep people playing for longer.

I don't think more trades is the answer. I prefer nrl fantasy to sc because the scoring is harder & more skill is required with luck of course. You get plenty of trades in sc so if you play both nrl & sc you get the best of both worlds.

If he doesn't play next week I'll be moving him for a similar scorer. If you don't care about byes and have a similar 18th man(Surgess, Su'a etc) then would hold if 3 weeks trade if 4.

I've also been unlucky with injuries for a large chunk of the season, but I like the fact that this game is hard. There are 100,000 players so it needs to be hard to separate them. And as Random said, limited trades puts a high value on them and reduced squads puts a high value on making sure your entire squad selection from the start is correct. You can't help back luck though and there's always next year Very Happy

I saw a lot of luxury trades in other groups from seasoned fantasy veterans even this week. Fifita>Farah/Harris was very popular

I have 12 trades and even thinking now to hold my second one this week, as we could need them. Especially with Harris gone. Was going to do Olive to Holland or even Brimson but might hold so I can definitely use 4 next week. Top teams with Tohu and low trades now might feel it next week.

I wouldn't be trading in Brimson. Has already made most of his cash and will only be useful next week. Would much prefer Lewis if you were going for that option

Harris has 2 weeks for me, any longer see you later. There aren't many decent round 17 replacement options which makes it tricky, but Gallen proved last night that I need him, so wouldn't hesitate the switch. I've had Harris since round 1.

Not sure what was worse in the Warriors game, the Sharks somehow getting a penalty for Gallen keeping his hand on a Satae quick play the ball, and the next set resulting in a penalty to the Sharks at the other end for 2 points. Or, Mannering dropping the ball giving them another set on our line which they score the match winner. Or, the forward pass to win it. Or Luke Lewis Bias as fuck commentary stint, don't think there was a comment made about the home team at all. Or Harris doing his knee.

Luke Lewis commentary FTW for me! Seriously WTF, I've never seen that before and is plain wrong.

Anyone have any idea on Dugan? I have him and Holmes. When he's back, do you think he'll be at 1? Or will he play centre. At fullback Holmes is a keeper, but he's picked in price, so would be a nice trade out next week if he does go back to the wing.

Yeah I know, I guess other people below me in my work league have Brimson and that's the only reason I'm thinking about him, so can't play that way. Yeah, Lewis could be a goer. Will probably still get Holland then maybe Lewis next week. Already got Mann this week so confidence a bit shot.

Harris to tapine will be popular. Which sucks for those who bye planned. There isn’t many other players playing rd 17 you’d look to bring in for Harris, tpj maybe?

If Harris is out for 2+ weeks should I reverse my TPJ trade to Martin and use Harris to Martin instead? Will miss a nice price rise for Martin though hmmmm. Or the alternative is cash out Olive to 212k player then I should be able to squeeze in SJ using Harris. Which option sounds better?

I wouldn't think so. Doohickey is next cab off the rank for 80 in multiple positions isn't he? Especially if you have AReyn or Calker or Ingis.
